Sociological study of graduates from Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy was carried out in 1997. The opinions of 199 physicians on the quality of training at the Academy, on employment and continuous education, etc., are analyzed.

The article provides an analysis of lifestyle factors among industrial workers in connection with their self-assessment of health status. The diet, physical activity, harmful habits, ethico-psychological atmosphere in the family has been assessed. The survey made it possible to detect certain regularities.
