However, ES is often metastatic calling for approaches able to support MSC targeting to the ES multiple remote sites.

Green Line Hospital-Territory Study: A Single-Blind Randomized Clinical Trial for Evaluation of Technological Challenges of Continuous Wireless Monitoring in Internal Medicine, Preliminary Results.

Background: Wireless vital parameter continuous monitoring (WVPCM) after discharge is compared to regular monitoring to provide data on the clinical-economic impact of complex patients (CPs) discharged from Internal Medicine Units of Ospedale dei Castelli, Lazio.

Primary Outcome: Major complications (MC) reduction.

Secondary Outcomes: Patients who reached discharge criteria within the 7th day from admission; difference in MC incidence at the conclusion of the standard telemonitoring/clinical monitoring phase, 5 and 30 days after discharge; and conditions predisposing to MC occurrence.

Purpose: Radiation therapy techniques have developed from 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT) to intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), with better sparing of the surrounding normal tissues. The current analysis aimed to investigate whether IMRT, compared to 3DCRT, resulted in fewer adverse events (AEs) and patient-reported symptoms in the randomized PORTEC-3 trial for high-risk endometrial cancer.

The use of cannabidiol (CBD) for animal species is an area of growing interest, for example for its anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulating properties, even though all of its biological effects are still not fully understood, especially in veterinary medicine. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulating properties of CBD for the first time directly in canine inflammatory response. We used an ex vivo model of LPS-stimulated whole dog blood.

A first trimester prediction model for large for gestational age infants: a preliminary study.

This study aims to develop a multivariable prediction model for the risk of giving birth to a LGA baby, by using biochemical, biophysical, anamnestic, and clinical maternal characteristics available at first trimester.

For centuries, Muller mucus has been known to have biological properties that are useful for treating skin disorders. In this study, we used a full-thickness excisional wound model in mice to test the hypothesis that Snail Secretion Filtrate (SSF) can improve the wound healing process.

Cultural adaptation of an appropriate tool for mental health among Kanien'kehá:ka: a participatory action project based on the Growth and Empowerment Measure.

We present a cultural adaptation of the Growth and Empowerment Measure (GEM) from the Kanien'kehá:ka people of Quebec (Canada). Our aim was to develop a culturally competent and safe tool to assess and promote well-being among this population. We followed a qualitative, collaborative, and participatory method that sought to benefit Indigenous participants and communities, while honouring their culture and philosophies.

A global effort is underway to distribute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines to limit the crisis. Although adverse events related to vaccination are rare, there have been cases of new-onset neurologic symptoms following vaccination. We present two cases of new-onset neurologic symptoms post-vaccination that, upon further workup, revealed two different neuro-oncologic processes requiring neurosurgical intervention and further treatment.

This study aims to evaluate safety and success rates of lumbar puncture (LP) and to identify factors associated with adverse events or failure of LP in infants. This two-center prospective observational study investigated infants younger than 90 days of age who underwent LP. Need for resuscitation oxygen desaturation (SpO < 90%), bradycardia and intraventricular hemorrhage were considered adverse events.
