Objectives: In recent years, new hypoglycaemic drugs that affect the incretin system have become increasingly popular in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM): glucagon-like receptor 1 agonists (GLP1RAs), dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors (DPP4is) and the recently developed dual glucagon-like receptor 1 agonist and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (tirzepatide). Their main role of these drugs is to normalise blood glucose levels. In addition, GLP1RAs are approved for the treatment of excessive body weight.

CARs are synthetic transmembrane receptors expressed on genetically modified immune effector cells, including T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, or macrophages, which are able to recognize specific surface antigens on target cells and eliminate them. CAR-modified immune cells mediate cytotoxic antitumor effects via numerous mechanisms, including the perforin and granzyme pathway, Fas and Fas Ligand (FasL) pathway, and cytokine secretion.

Objectives: The aim of the retrospective study of 2135 histopathological records of lesions on the face was to: establish the most common indications for a skin biopsy in patients with facial lesions, establish the frequency of histopathological diagnoses, evaluate how often clinically suspected inflammatory lesions are identified as tumors in histopathology, evaluate the accuracy of clinical diagnoses of the most common skin tumors and dermatoses.
Methods: It was a retrospective study.
Topical imiquimod is an off-label alternative treatment for lentigo maligna used when surgery cannot be performed. Severe inflammatory response induced by this drug may generate many complaints and force patients to discontinue use. We present a case in which interval treatment with 5% topical imiquimod was implemented for severe inflammatory response.

The present study investigated Cr bioaccumulation by indigenous chironomids in a freshwater ecosystem impacted by tannery effluents. In a companion study, we showed that Cr discharged by tanneries was bioavailable to indigenous chironomids with accumulation via sediment ingestion likely to represent the predominant exposure route. However, Cr accumulation by chironomids did not directly reflect the degree of sediment contamination and the potential adverse effects of Cr accumulation on chironomids were not evaluated.
