Background: Older adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are increasingly turning to care partners (CPs) as resources to support their diabetes management. With the rise in diabetes technologies, such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), there is great potential for CGM data sharing to increase CP involvement in a way that improves persons with diabetes' glucose management and reduces distress.
Objective: The specific aims of this paper are to (1) evaluate the feasibility, usability, and acceptability of the Share plus intervention compared to the CGM Follow app plus diabetes self-management education and support; (2) evaluate the effect of the Share plus intervention on time-in-range (TIR; primary outcome) and diabetes distress (secondary outcome); and (3) explore differences between groups in person with diabetes and CP dyadic appraisal and coping, quality of life, diabetes self-care, and CP burden at 12 and 24 weeks and associations of dyadic variables on outcomes.
Background: Observationally, family and social support are important for optimal diabetes self-management; however, interventions targeting family/social support have not consistently been effective. A novel, diabetes-specific family functioning typology offers the opportunity to classify types of baseline family functioning to determine for whom family interventions may be effective.

Research Design And Methods: We conducted k-means cluster analyses with nine dimensions to determine if the typology replicated in a diverse sample and if type assignment was robust to variations in sampling and included dimensions. In a subsample with repeated assessments over 9 months, we examined the stability and validity of the typology.
Study Objectives: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and poor quality of sleep negatively impacts health-related quality of life in adults, but few studies have evaluated the association between sleep disturbance (eg, OSA, inadequate sleep) and health-related quality of life domains (eg, family relations, life satisfaction) in children.

We examined the perspectives of involvement in diabetes management of the parents and romantic partners of 29 emerging adults with type 1 diabetes, using qualitative interviews and an online survey. Methods: A total of 228 high school seniors (M age = 17.76 years at time 1) reported on mothers' and fathers' acceptance and diabetes-related disclosure to parents, diabetes self-care, and PCC once per year for 4 years.
