In situ measurements of the chemical identity and quantity of anode gases during electrochemical measurements and rare earth (RE) electrolysis from fluoride-based molten salts composed of different kinds of rare earth oxides (REOs) were performed using FTIR spectrometry. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) was carried out to characterize oxidation processes and determine the anodic effect from NdF + PrF + LiF + REO melt. A single-institution observational study with 43 newly diagnosed diffuse gliomas defined the isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and 2 (IDH1/2) gene mutation status and evaluated the prognostic relevance of the methylation status of the epigenetic marker O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT). Younger patients (<50 years) with surgically resected glioma and temozolomide (TMZ) adjuvant chemotherapy were associated with better prognosis, consistent with other studies. The methylation status depends on the chosen method and the cut-off value determination.

Six conceptually different transport models were applied to the macrodispersion experiment (MADE)-1 field tracer experiment as a first major attempt for model comparison. The objective was to show that complex mass distributions in heterogeneous aquifers can be predicted without calibration of transport parameters, solely making use of structural and flow data. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a diagnostically challenging autoimmune multisystem disease with intracranial hypertension as a rare initial clinical manifestation. This is a case report of a 27-year-old woman with a prior history of psychogenic non-epileptic attacks, intracranial hypertension, headache, visual impairment, papilloedema, and a BMI of 24 kg/m2. Upon acetazolamide treatment for intracranial hypertension and before the diagnosis of SLE was reached, the patient developed respiratory distress and metabolic acidosis, due to underlying SLE glomerulonephritis.
