Here, we describe the case of a 74-year-old male patient with a high-risk prostate carcinoma who underwent positron-emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) with [Ga]Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen ([Ga]Ga-PSMA-11) for staging. [Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT detected an extensive area of increased tracer uptake at the prostatic level, involving both lobes. Additionally, a rounded lesion approximately 4 cm in diameter was identified in the celiac region adjacent to the stomach, exhibiting moderate tracer uptake.

The Albumin-to-Alkaline Phosphatase ratio (AAPR) is an easily applicable and cost-effective marker investigated as an outcome predictor in solid cancers. Preliminary evidence in breast cancer suggests that a low AAPR correlates with a poor response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in primary tumors. However, data regarding the axillary response are lacking.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performed 5 years after radiation therapy suggested a possible recurrence. A somatostatin receptor positron emission tomography/computed tomography (SR-PET/CT) scan with Gallium-68 DOTATATE was performed to confirm this suspicion.

Methods: The current systematic review was carried out following a preset protocol, and the "Preferred Reporting Items for a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis" served as a guideline for its development and reporting. A comprehensive research of the PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase and Cochrane library databases was conducted until June 2024.
Here, we describe the case of a 43-year-old male patient with a metastatic parathyroid carcinoma who underwent dual-tracer whole-body positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) with [F]fluorocholine and fluorodeoxyglucose ([F]FDG) for staging. [F]FDG PET/CT detected multiple cervical and mediastinal lymph nodal lesions with increased tracer uptake, whereas [F]fluorocholine PET/CT detected increased tracer uptake on cervical and mediastinal lymph nodal lesions and bone and lung lesions with a better evaluation of metastatic spread. Due to these imaging findings, the patient underwent systemic treatment with chemotherapy.

Methods: The authors conducted an extensive review of the scientific literature to examine the potential diagnostic role of PET/CT using PSMA-targeting radiopharmaceuticals in salivary gland malignancies (SGMs) and adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC). This study included newly diagnosed SGM patients and those with disease recurrence in their imaging evaluation.
Objective: The increasing use of PSMA-PET/CT for restaging prostate cancer (PCa) leads to a patient shift from a non-metastatic situation based on conventional imaging (CI) to a metastatic situation. Since established therapeutic pathways have been designed according to CI, it is unclear how this should be translated to the PSMA-PET/CT results. This study aimed to investigate whether PSMA-PET/CT and clinical parameters could predict the visibility of PSMA-positive lesions on a bone scan (BS).

Methods: A questionnaire of ten questions was prepared for health professionals, addressing the following issues: (1) general demographic, hospital, and department information; (2) use and diffusion of PET/ceCT worldwide; (3) factors influencing the use of PET/ceCT. An invitation to the survey was sent to the corresponding authors of NM scientific articles indexed in SCOPUS in 2022 and dedicated to PET/CT imaging.
We describe the case of a 67-year-old male patient with a moderately differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) of the right liver lobe who underwent [F]fluorocholine positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for staging due to a suspicious lung lesion at previous CT scan. [F]fluorocholine PET/CT showed increased radiopharmaceutical uptake in a liver lesion corresponding to the known HCC. Furthermore, a right pulmonary hilar lesion suspicious for metastatic spread of HCC showed increased radiopharmaceutical uptake.

Radioligand (RLT) therapy with [ Lu]Lu-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is an emerging treatment for metastasized mCRPC and its efficacy is assessed not only but also by prostate specific antigen (PSA) measurement after 12 weeks or more after treatment. Our aim was to evaluate the role of early PSA measurement after RLT in predicting overall survival (OS) of mCRPC patients.

A 37-year-old man affected by nasopharyngeal carcinoma (stage IVb) underwent serial 18F-FDG PET/CT evaluations during treatment with nivolumab (480 mg every 4 weeks) after first-line chemoradiotherapy. The patient had no history of thyroid disease and before starting immunotherapy the thyroid-stimulating hormone value was normal at 0.

The aim of the study was to assess and compare the diagnostic performance of PET/ldCT and PET/ceCT, respectively, in evaluating FL patients at the end of treatment. Fifty FL consecutive patients who underwent end-of-therapy PET/CT with both ldCT and ceCT were analyzed.

FDG PET/CT rules out malignancy in visually negative nodules; however, none of the currently available interpretation criteria differentiates malignant from benign FDG-avid nodules. We evaluated the ability of PET metrics and radiomics features (RFs) to predict final diagnosis of FDG-avid cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules.

The aim of our work was to calculate the prevalence of this finding. A comprehensive computer literature search of PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane library databases was performed to identify recently published articles that investigated the prevalence of HALNs detected by 2-[F]FDG PET/CT after COVID-19 vaccination.

Purpose: The value of FDG PET-derived parameters in predicting overall survival (OS), local relapse-free survival (LRFS) and distant relapse-free survival (DRFS) in treated patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) was evaluated.
Methods: This retrospective evaluation included 55 MPM patients treated between March 2006 and February 2015 with FDG PET/CT-guided salvage helical tomotherapy (HTT) after previous surgery plus chemotherapy. Univariate Cox regression analysis was performed to assess the impact of the following FDG PET-derived parameters: biological target volume (BTV), mean and maximum standardized uptake values (SUV), metabolic tumour volume (MTV) and total lesion glycolysis (TLG), measured using different uptake thresholds (40%, 50% and 60%).
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the quality of care in patients who underwent sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping for endometrial and cervical cancer staging, and evaluate the impact of different techniques on patient satisfaction, i.e. radiotracer Tc99m versus indocyanine green (ICG) or methylene blue injection.

Methods: From October 2010 to May 2015, 163 women with stage I endometrial or cervical cancer (118 endometrial and 45 cervical cancer) underwent SLN mapping with (99m)Tc with blue dye, blue dye alone, or ICG. DR and bilateral OM of ICG were compared respectively with the results obtained using the standard (99m)Tc radiotracer with blue dye, or blue dye alone.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of PET/CT and sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy in staging high-risk endometrial cancer patients (G2 and deep myometrial invasion, G3, serous clear cell carcinoma or carcinosarcoma) in early clinical stage.
Patients And Methods: From January 2006 to December 2012, high-risk early-stage endometrial cancer patients performing PET/CT scan followed by surgery (systematic pelvic ± aortic lymphadenectomy) were included. From December 2010, SLN mapping with Tc-albumin nanocolloid and blue dye cervical injection was included in our clinical practice and additionally performed.
