Collagenous colitis (CC) is a cause of chronic aqueous diarrhea with normal radiologic study and endoscopic appearance of the colonic mucosa. Histologically, it is defined by the presence of a thickened subepithelial collagenous band and inflammatory changes of the mucosa.
