Dataset on the effect of gamification elements on learning effectiveness among Vietnamese students.

The enhancement of learning effectiveness among university and graduate students is a continual and perplexing question for educational institutions. With the advancement of technology, educators are exploring and implementing diverse learning methods. In this current climate, gamification has emerged as an innovative and popular approach to education.

Elucidating the roles of oxygen functional groups and defect density of electrochemically exfoliated GO on the kinetic parameters towards furazolidone detection.

Using electrochemically exfoliated graphene oxide (GO)-modified screen-printed carbon electrodes for the detection of furazolidone (FZD), a nitrofuran antibiotic, was explored. In this study, we designed some GO samples possessing different oxygen functional group content/defect density by using ultrasonic irradiation or microwave techniques as supporting tools. The difference in physical characteristics of GO led to the remarkable change in kinetic parameters (electron transfer rate constant ( ) and transfer coefficient ()) of electron transfer reactions at / probes as well as the FZD analyte.

Erythropoietin during porcine aortic balloon occlusion-induced ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Background: Aortic occlusion causes ischemia/reperfusion injury, kidney and spinal cord being the most vulnerable organs. Erythropoietin improved ischemia/reperfusion injury in rodents, which, however, better tolerate ischemia/reperfusion than larger species. Therefore, we investigated whether erythropoietin attenuates porcine aortic occlusion ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Hemodynamic and metabolic effects of hydrogen sulfide during porcine ischemia/reperfusion injury.

In awake spontaneously breathing mice, inhaling gaseous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) produced a "suspended animation-like" metabolic status with hypothermia and reduced O2 demand, thus protecting from lethal hypoxia. Murine models may be questioned, however, because due to their large surface area/mass ratio, rodents can rapidly drop their core temperature. Therefore, we investigated whether intravenous H2S (Na2S, sodium sulfide) would induce a comparable metabolic response in anesthetized and mechanically ventilated pigs.
