Mn-based metal halides scintillators with high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) have recently emerged as promising large-size candidates for X-ray imaging but still remains as difficult challenge in stability and high processing temperatures. Here, three manganese halides are designed by introducing branched chains into organic cations and extending the carbon chains, namely (i-PrTPP)MnBr, (i-BuTPP)MnBr and (i-AmTPP)MnBr, successfully lowered the melting point of manganese halides to 120.2 °C.

Plant-derived polysaccharides have demonstrated promising anti-cancer effects immune-regulatory activity. The aim of the current study was to compare the chemical property and the anticancer effects of polysaccharides extracted from the sporoderm-removed spores of the medicinal mushroom (RSGLP), which removed the sporoderm completely, with polysaccharides extracted from the sporoderm-broken spores of (BSGLP). We found that RSGLP has a higher extraction yield than BSGLP.

This study investigated the effects of water-soluble polysaccharide extracted from the sporoderm-removed spores of Ganoderma lucidum (GLP) against AOM/DSS-induced inflammation, tumorigenesis, and gut microbiota modification, which has never been reported before. Our data revealed that GLP (200 and 300 mg/kg) decreased AOM/DSS-induced colitis and tumorigenesis, manifested by significantly reduced disease activity index score, and total number and size of tumors. Furthermore, GLP ameliorated AOM/DSS-induced microbiota dysbiosis, increased short-chain fatty acid production, and alleviated endotoxemia by inhibiting TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling.

Lindau is a member of the family Acanthaceae, which was originated from Yunnan province of China and is used as tea and health promotion. Here, we reported the complete chloroplast genome sequence of using Illumina high-throughput sequencing approach. The size of the chloroplast genome is 144,765 bp in length, containing a pair of inverted repeats (IRs, 17,362 bp) that are separated by the large single-copy (LSC, 92,248 bp), and small single-copy (SSC, 17,793 bp) regions.

The sporoderm-broken spores of () polysaccharide (BSGLP) have been demonstrated to inhibit carcinogenesis in several types of cancer. However, to the best of our knowledge, the anticancer effects of polysaccharides extracted from the newly developed sporoderm-removed spores of (RSGLP) have not been assessed. The present study first compared the anticancer effects of RSGLP and BSGLP in three gastric cancer cell lines and it was found that RSGLP was more potent than BSGLP in decreasing gastric cancer cell viability.
