Objective: To examine the highest certainty evidence addressing the management of X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) in adults to inform treatment recommendations.
Methods: We searched Embase, MEDLINE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Central up to May 2023. Eligible studies included RCTs and observational studies of individuals 18+ with clinically or genetically confirmed XLH.
Background: Complete clot ingestion (CCI) is defined as full ingestion of the clot into the catheter or pump canister without any external clot remnants at the catheter tip. The aim of this study was to demonstrate that using the CCI metric in vitro, partially ingested ('corked') clots pose a higher risk of distal emboli given distal emboli may exist in the setting of Thrombolysis In Cerebral Infarction 3 (TICI 3) revascularization.
Methods: Thrombectomies using an in vitro synthetic clot analog were conducted across six catheters using the novel ALGO Smart Pump with Adaptive Pulsatile Aspiration (APA) (Von Vascular Inc, Sunrise, FL) and compared against the Penumbra static Engine Pump (Alameda, CA).
Underwater noise data were collected from 84 pile drives during bridge construction at various sites in Florida. These data were used to develop an empirically based model for underwater transmission loss associated with root mean squared, peak, and sound exposure level values. The model was verified using readings from other datasets as well as data from this study, and it appeared to reproduce reported transmission loss coefficient values well when data were curated to match data used in the empirical model's development and limited to situations where robust data were used in model development.

Malignant transformation, especially in extra-gynaecological sites, poses significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We present a case of an endometriosis-associated intestinal tumour diagnosed in a patient with exposure to oestrogen-only hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on a background of total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy performed three decades before her presentation.

Methods: In a prospective, multicenter, interventional, adaptive-design trial, we randomly assigned patients with symptomatic subacute or chronic subdural hematoma with an indication for surgical evacuation to undergo middle meningeal artery embolization plus surgery (treatment group) or surgery alone (control group).
Background: Many patients with persistent atrial fibrillation (PsAF) have progressed from an initial paroxysmal phenotype; however, there are patients in whom atrial fibrillation (AF) is persistent at diagnosis. Relatively little is known about this subgroup, but prior observational studies have suggested these patients have worse outcomes with ablation.
Objectives: This study sought to: 1) assess demographic and electrophysiologic characteristics of patients with PsAF at first diagnosis compared with those with who have progressed from paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF); and 2) assess the impact of pattern of AF at diagnosis on recurrence post ablation.
Modern life causes a quarter of adults and half of teenagers to sleep for less than is recommended (Kocevska et al., 2021). Given well-documented benefits of sleep on memory, we must understand the cognitive costs of short sleep.

Objective: To investigate associations of PA and ST over a 4-6-year follow-up period with cardiometabolic outcomes in preteens (9-11-year-olds) who were born to mothers with previous macrosomic delivery.
Methods: This is an analysis of 402 preteens from the ROLO study, who were born to mothers that previously delivered an infant with macrosomia.
Background: Adolescence and early adulthood are pivotal stages for the onset of mental health disorders and the development of health behaviors. Digital behavioral activation interventions, with or without coaching support, hold promise for addressing risk factors for both mental and physical health problems by offering scalable approaches to expand access to evidence-based mental health support.
Objective: This 2-arm pilot randomized controlled trial evaluated 2 versions of a digital behavioral health product, Vira (Ksana Health Inc), for their feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness in improving mental health in young adults with depressive symptoms and obesity risk factors.
Background And Aims: Posterior wall isolation (PWI) is commonly incorporated into catheter ablation (CA) strategies for persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) in an attempt to improve outcomes. In the CAPLA randomized study, adjunctive PWI did not improve freedom from atrial arrhythmia at 12 months compared with pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) alone. Whether additional PWI reduces arrhythmia recurrence over the longer term remains unknown.

Methods: A retrospective review of prospectively maintained data at 12 institutions was conducted on patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms who underwent SAC between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2020, and were followed ≥6 months postprocedure.

Background: Childhood represents a critical period of nutritional risk in the programming of later chronic disease. Few longitudinal studies have explored repeated measures of nutrition throughout the first decade of life in relation to preteen cardiometabolic outcomes.
Objectives: This research aimed to explore associations of early feeding practices (human milk exposure and duration and timing of introduction to solids) and childhood dietary quality and inflammatory scores (at 5 and 9-11 y and change during childhood) on preteen cardiometabolic outcomes.
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is the dried flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves of the plant. It contains more than 100 compounds, including tetrahydrocannabinol, which has psychoactive effects. Federal law prohibits the possession, distribution, and use of cannabis outside limited research activities, but most states have legalized cannabis for medical or recreational use.

Posterior wall isolation (PWI) is increasingly performed to improve AF ablation outcomes. However, the impact of PWI on the incidence of LAMT is unknown.

However, the scientific literature on this topic, to date, is marred by small and unrepresentative samples, poor measurement of core constructs, and a limited ability to address the psychological and behavioral mechanisms that may underlie the relationships between device use and well-being. Recent authoritative reviews have made urgent calls for future research projects to address these limitations.

Unfortunately, its requirement for specialized glassware and a very large centrifugation unit makes the method inaccessible to many modern laboratories. We have, therefore, modified Rongey's original method by adapting it to present-day commercially-available glassware and centrifugation equipment.

Several health conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and liver disease, are associated with excessive alcohol use and alcohol use disorder. Nearly 30 million people aged 12 years or older in the United States reported past-year alcohol use disorder in 2022, but-despite its prevalence-alcohol use disorder is undertreated.
