Previous research employing the person-centred approach of Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) with parent-reported data of their child's eating behaviour identified four distinct eating profiles in 3-6-year-old children: typical, avid, happy, and avoidant eating (Pickard et al., 2023). In this follow-up study, the same parents were asked to self-report their own eating behaviour (N = 785) and LPA was conducted to determine the latent eating profiles of the parents/caregivers.

Design: Secondary analyses of data about attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) characteristics, body satisfaction, social and emotional functioning, and the primary outcome, change in body mass index (BMI), were available for 41 out of 72 children and their families randomised to family-based behavioural treatment over 6 months or waiting list control. We compare purchasing of less healthy foods before and after its introduction. Front-of-pack labels (FOPLs) provide simplified nutritional information that aims to inform consumer choice and encourage reformulation. We conducted an online randomised controlled experiment on a representative British sample to test the effectiveness of FOPLs across a range of outcomes. The primary outcomes have been published; here, we present the secondary outcomes: the ability to rank the healthiest product and the time to complete the rankings by comparing the FOPL groups and a no-label control, as well as a descriptive analysis of the perceptions.
