It has been shown that self-perceived health has a close relationship with indicators of morbidity and mortality. Since there is a lack of information on the self-perceived health status of hospital workers, the objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of satisfaction with health among people working at a University Hospital (UH) and its associations with indicators of adiposity, arterial blood pressure (BP) and physical activity (PA). Introduction: The indiscriminate use of different diagnostic criteria for the definition of dyslipidemia may result in inaccurate interpretations, which could compromise diagnosis and therefore the therapeutic and prophylactic actions to be taken.

Objective: To analyze possible differences in prevalence rates of dyslipidemia in adolescents based on three diagnostic definitions.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted of a representative sample of Brazilian adolescents between 11 and 16 years of age.
