A cross exploratory analysis between nursing working conditions and the occurrence of errors in the northeast region of Brazil.

Objectives: Analyze and verify the association between working conditions and the occurrence of errors in nursing work.

Background: Many of the known errors in nursing are based on the structural failure of the complex health service system. Our study addresses the question "Is there an association between errors made by nursing workers and working conditions?"

Methods: The study was carried out through a cross-sectional exploratory analysis of 19 ethical-disciplinary processes focused on errors made by nursing workers.

Nurse contribution to the construction of health policy in the state of Bahia (1925-1930).

Objective: to analyze the contribution of nurses to the construction of health policy in the state of Bahia, from 1925 to 1930.

Methods: qualitative research, from a historical nature. Data were retrieved from five public archives, organized in a documentary corpus, and analyzed based on the health political analysis and the social control concepts, health policy and public health.

Intensity of nursing work in public hospitals.

Objective: to analyze the intensity of nursing work in public hospitals.

Method: cross-sectional, quantitative study, carried out in 22 public hospitals. The sample was composed of 265 nurses and 810 nursing technicians and assistants.

Association between variables related to precariousness of work and leave of absence in the nursing field.

The objective is to verify associations between variables related to precarious employment and absence from work due to health reasons in the nursing field. This was a cross-sectional study of a stratified convenience sample with proportional allocation of 1,075 workers. Study site: 22 public hospitals in Bahia, with data collected between 2015 and 2016.

Job insecurity among nurses, nursing technicians and nursing aides in public hospitals.

Objective: To identify the contribution of all the dimensions involved in job insecurity among nursing professionals in Brazilian state public hospitals.

Method: This was a quantitative descriptive study conducted between March 2015 and February 2016, with nurses, nursing technicians and nursing aides. The data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis.

Error-producing conditions in nursing staff work.

Objective: To analyze the errors made by nursing staff workers who faced ethical-disciplinary actions.

Method: Document, exploratory, quanti-qualitative research. The information was collected in 13 ethical-disciplinary actions of COREN BA, dated from 1995 to 2010, which had as object of complaint an error made by nursing staff workers.

The nurses' work process in different countries: an integrative review.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of nurses' work process in different countries.

Method: We have used the integrative review method and selected 84 publications (articles, theses and dissertations) in national and foreign thesis banks and databases. We analyzed the evidence based on dialectical materialism.

[Production of knowledge on health promotion and nurse's practice in primary health care].

This is an integrative review that examines the national scientific production on health promotion and nurse's practice in the field of primary health care. With the development of the study, it was found that the discussion of this theme is little explored in nursing and that health promotion is still understood as synonymous of health education and / or prevention of disease. It is concluded that health education is an essential strategy to achieve the health promotion, understanding that one is not restricted to the other.

[Evaluation of the capability of decentralized management of epidemiological surveillance in the state of Bahia].

Evaluative research into the capability of decentralized management of epidemiological vigilance (EV) was conducted in the operational, organizational and sustainable dimensions in the state of Bahia, Brazil. The quantitative approach was used in the construction of a baseline, with primary data obtained through an online questionnaire answered by thirty-eight municipal EV managers. In the qualitative approach to analyze the context and assess the management capability of municipalities in two case studies, techniques adapted to the analysis of discursive practices were used.

The professional profile of UFBA nursing management graduate students.

The objective of the present study was to analyze the professional profile of the nursing graduate students of Federal University of Bahia, more specifically of the nursing management area. This descriptive, exploratory study was performed using documental research. The data was collected from the graduates' curriculum on the Lattes Platform and from the graduate program documents, using a form.

[Nurses' practice in health audit].

The objective of this investigation was to identify nurses' practice in heath audit. The hermeneutic-dialectic method was used for the analysis. The study was performed in three loci: the internal audit service of a hospital; the external audit service of a private health service buyer, and the state audit service of the public health system (SUS, acronym in Portuguese for Sistema Unico de Saúde-Unique Health System), in Bahia.

[Evaluation of the decentralization of epidemiologic surveillance to the Team of the Family Health Program].

The aim of this study is to evaluate the decentralization of Epidemiologic Surveillance actions to the Family Health Program in a city in the state of Bahia, Brazil. The research was conducted as a case study, using adapted techniques of thematic and evaluative analysis. In face of the need to adopt a model for this analysis, it was decided to adopt the political model of implantation analysis.
