Individuals experiencing homelessness-an extreme form of social exclusion-have considerably higher risk of being victims of violence than the general population. We analyze the episodes of violence suffered by 504 individuals experiencing homelessness in Spain, as well as the differences between men and women. The results indicate high levels of violence and suggest that gender (specifically, being a woman) is the primary factor driving exposure to violence among this group.

Objective: the aim of this study was to analyze the process of detection and treatment of hepatitis C in individuals experiencing homelessness (IEH).
Methods: an analytical cross-sectional study was performed in a Primary Care center. The center screened and registered patients with a positive hepatitis C antibody test and referred them to the Digestive Service.
Spain is the Western European country with the highest prevalence of Human Immunodeficiency Virus among people who inject drugs. The Hepatitis-C Virus affects over fifty per cent of this population. At the same time, the World Health Organization considers that the average coverage of injection material for drug user per year is low.
