Gastrointestinal infiltration secondary to extramedullary anaplastic plasmacytoma. A rare cause of intestinal subocclusion and upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Extramedullary plasmacytoma is rare, it can appear alone or associated with multiple myeloma, representing an extramedullary progression of the disease. We present the case of a 62-year-old woman diagnosed with multiple myeloma who, being in complete remission began to experience abdominal pain and nausea. A rare cause of intestinal subocclusion and upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Primary gastric rhabdomyosarcoma. A rare cause of an upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Adenocarcinoma accounts for 90% of malignant gastric tumours. Lymphomas, gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST) and other less frequent tumours account for 10%. However, rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) remains a rare cause within the broad differential diagnosis of gastric lesions.

Management of cytomegalovirus reactivation in patient with immunotherapy-induced gastritis.

We present the case of a 52-year-old woman diagnosed with stage IV clear cell renal cell carcinoma who received combination of surgery and systemic therapy with nivolumab (anti-PD1) and ipilimumab (anti-CTLA-4). During treatment, patient presented oral intolerance, vomiting and abdominal pain. Computed tomography (CT) and gastroscopy (EGD) were performed, identifying findings suggestive of severe gastro-duodenitis with friability and diffuse oedema of the mucosa and deep ulcers.
