Background And Aims: "Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2" (SARS-CoV-2) is the name of the etiological agent of the pandemic Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) which was declared on March 11, 2020 by the WHO and which affected all countries of the world, including Romania. Our study aimed to evaluate the psycho-affective implications and economic consequences for dentists in Romania during the COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease) pandemic state of emergency and their opinion on the patients' oral health impact.
Methods: A cross-sectional observational and analytical study based on a questionnaire was conducted.
This study investigates the implementation of national policies and strategies to control unhealthy diets, which are pivotal in the global surge of non-communicable diseases. Leveraging data from the World Health Organization's Non-Communicable Diseases Progress Monitors and Country Capacity Surveys, we calculated aggregate implementation scores for 13 diet-related policies across 194 countries from 2017 to 2021. We used descriptive statistics and linear regression to investigate the implementation trends and associations between key national-level factors and implementation scores.

This study delves into the role of dietary risk factors across different demographic and socioeconomic groups. Utilizing data from the GBD 2019, it analyzes age-adjusted T2DM metrics-death counts, Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALYs), and Age-Standardized Rates (ASRs)-stratified by age, sex, and region.

The study aimed to assess self-reported symptoms of periodontal disease (gingival bleeding, tooth mobility and halitosis) among diabetic and non-diabetic patients from Transylvania, Romania. Using statistical analysis methods, correlation between the aforementioned symptoms and diet, oral hygiene habits, stress, physical activity, and BMI (body mass index) were researched. Another secondary objective was to assess the impact of self-reported oral health, aesthetics, and halitosis on their life.

The ceramic molds were obtained by 3D printing method. First, a finite element analysis was developed to determine Tresca and von Mises stresses and the deformations of the ceramic molds under an applied pressure of 25 MPa.

To optimize the implants, several research activities were considered, starting with the design and manufacture of test samples made of PA 2200 by selective laser sintering (SLS) technology, with different processing parameters and part orientations. The obtained samples were subjected to compression tests and later to SEM analyses of the fractured zones, in which we determined the microstructural properties of the analyzed samples.

Grain refinement can be achieved through extreme deformation. In the presented study, Equal-Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) was successfully applied to produce an ultrafine-grained microstructure in a pure commercial Cu of 99.

In this retrospective case-control study conducted in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, we assessed the effect of ulcerations/amputations on hospitalization costs of patients with diabetes. Patients with (Group 1) or without (Group 2) ulcerations/amputations (case-control ratio 3:1) admitted to a single diabetes center between 2012-2017 were included. The effects of hospitalization days, age, duration of diabetes, body mass index and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) on total costs was explored using a multivariate linear regression analysis, enter model.

It is well known and proven that heavy metal contamination of the soils can severely affect the health of the people living in the contaminated areas given the ease with which trace elements can enter the human body. In addition-to agricultural crop depreciation as well as soil erosion, soil pollution can negatively affect the natural function of ecosystems. While certain heavy metals in high doses can be harmful to the body, others such as cadmium, mercury, lead, chromium, silver and arsenic in minimal amounts have delusional effects on the body, causing acute and chronic intoxication.

Since 1998, Romania replaced the Semashko model with a social health insurance system, highly centralized under the management of the Ministry of Health as the central administrative authority. After joining the European Union, quality of life increased in our country and there were efforts to improve the quality of healthcare, including pediatric and neonatal care.

The paper presents the results of the development of the cardio-forecasting technology, which introduces a new method to monitor the state of human-operator, which is characteristic for the given production conditions and for individual operators, to predict the moment of exhaustion of his/her working capacity. The work aims to demonstrate the unique, distinctive features of the cardio-forecasting technology for predicting an individual limit of his/her working capacity for each person. A unique methodology for predicting individually for each person the moment when he/she reaches the limit of his/her working capacity is based on a spectral analysis of a human phonocardiogram in order to isolate the frequency component located at the heart contraction frequency.
