The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the population to adopt increasingly sedentary lifestyles. Faced with this problem, remote training appears as a practical and inexpensive strategy to promote physically active lifestyles. The aim of this research was to compare the effects of remote versus in-person training on metabolic profiles and body composition of physically inactive adults.

First Results from a Broadband Search for Dark Photon Dark Matter in the 44 to 52 μeV Range with a Coaxial Dish Antenna.

We present first results from a dark photon dark matter search in the mass range from 44 to 52  μeV (10.7-12.5 GHz) using a room-temperature dish antenna setup called GigaBREAD.

Impact of Use of Antibiotics on Response to Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors and Tumor Microenvironment.

Background: Antibiotic use can result in reduced efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB), presumably because of dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiome. We sought to determine the precise temporal relation between antibiotic therapy and its possible effects on ICB efficacy. We also investigated the histologic changes in the tumor microenvironment secondary to antibiotics use.

Persistent pain in survivors of torture: a cohort study.

Context: Refugee survivors of torture in the United Kingdom have multiple problems, of which pain may be underrecognized, given the high prevalence recorded in similar populations in Denmark.

Objectives: To establish in a UK sample the prevalence of persistent pain and to investigate associations between specific pains and torture methods.

Methods: A cohort of a random 20% sample attending a specialist UK center for survivors of torture in 2005 was taken.
