Informational and educational needs of caregivers of neurologic inpatients in rehabilitation treatment: A qualitative exploratory study.

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to identify information and educational needs of neurological inpatients during residential rehabilitation from the caregivers' perspective. On top of that, it was important to acknowledge the conceptual framework underlying the complexity of needs, for the development in future research of an early identification of caregiver's information needs assessment tool. This preliminary study will allow to define the dimensions on which to measure caregiver needs and the quality of care provided to the patients and their families.

In order to investigate the cardiovascular effects of ATP (15-30 mg) i.v. administration, 12 normal subjects, aged 27-55 yrs, were studied, during Arterial Pressure Monitoring and His Bundle Electrogram recording, using Sherlag's technique.

Cervical aortic arch with mediocystic necrosis.

The case of a 21-year-old woman with symptomatic cervical aortic arch is discussed. Rapid enlargement of an aneurysm at the level of the abnormal arch caused symptoms that prompted the patient to undergo angiographic diagnosis and surgical repair. Histologic examination of the aneurysm revealed mediocystic necrosis, which contributed to the malignant course of the congenital disease.

[Transient left posterior hemiblock in acute ischemic cardiopathy].

Report of seven cases of intermittent left posterior hemiblock in subjects with acute ischaemic heart disease. The electrocardiograms of all the patients (together with the coronary arteriography in three cases) have shown the presence of two different areas of ischaemia: the anterior wall and the diaphragmatic wall of the left ventricle. In three patients acute coronary ischaemia was present in both areas; in the other cases one myocardial wall only was involved.
