Fermented foods have been a component of the human diet since ancient times, including live bacteria employed to restore gut health, contributing to the frontline of functional food progression. Human concern about the harmful consequences of possible contaminants has increased significantly as their toxicity, carcinogenicity, and teratogenicity have become more publicized. In order to take preventive measures, it is essential to correctly identify and define the implications of contaminants and toxins in human health and intestinal microbiota balance for preventing or diagnosing epidemics before they cause damage.

This study was investigated to optimize different stages of textile dyeing wastewater (TDW) for irrigation focusing on their effect on growth, yield and physiochemical attributes of tomato, plant nutrient use, heavy metals enrichment and pollution load of the irrigated soil. The cheese samples were controlled and evaluated periodically (at 4 months) during 16 months of storage (at 2-8 °C) for physicochemical parameters (pH, moisture, fat, fat in dry matter, total protein, ash, NaCl), microbiological (total combined yeasts and molds count (TYMC), total viable count (TVC), , , , lactic acid bacteria (LAB)), fatty acids (FA) and volatile compounds. However, careful analysis of this ECG demonstrated a potentially different mechanism of the arrhythmia, underlying the importance of a pragmatic approach to ECG interpretation of arrhythmias. A secondary electrophysiological study was performed diagnosing a focal atrial tachycardia with origin at the coronary sinus ostium, in the presence of a blocked cavotricuspid isthmus.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible correlations between ventricular arrhythmias, conduction disorders, and myocardial fibrosis in patients with systemic sclerosis.
Background: In patients with systemic sclerosis, NT-proBNP is a useful diagnostic marker for pulmonary hypertension and ventricular dysfunction, with important prognostic significance. The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between the NT-proBNP levels and the presence and severity of ventricular arrhythmias in patients with scleroderma.
Methods: Forty consecutive patients with a diagnostic of systemic sclerosis according to the EULAR criteria admitted at the Rheumatology Clinic of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from Jan 2014 to Apr 2014 were enrolled.
Background And Aims: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) therapy is challenging and suppression of acid secretion or prokinetics do not cure all cases. Some drugs with protective action on the esophageal mucosa have been used alternatively or in association with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and/or prokinetics.
