Aim: The aim of this review was to explore the experiences of pregnant women and birthing people with higher weight bodies, to understand the extent to which weight stigma impacted their maternity care.
Methods: We performed a systematic search of seven databases (CINAHL plus, Medline, Social Sciences Full Text [SSFT], International Bibliography of Social Sciences [IBSS], PsychINFO, Maternity and Infant Care [MIC], NIHR Journals Library, EThOS) using the Setting, Perspective, Intervention, Comparison, Evaluation (SPICE) framework search strategy and pre-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Included studies underwent a critical appraisal and data richness assessment.
The perturbed free induction decay (PFID) observed in ultrafast infrared spectroscopy was used to unveil the rates at which different vibrational modes of the same atomic-scale defect can interact with their environment. The N_{3}VH^{0} defect in diamond provided a model system, allowing a comparison of stretch and bend vibrational modes within different crystal lattice environments. The observed bend mode (first overtone) exhibited dephasing times T_{2}=2.

Another more recently identified potential application for such materials is in molecular heaters for agriculture, whose function is to protect crops from extreme cold weather and extend both the growing season and the geographic areas capable of supporting growth, all of which could help reduce food security challenges. To address this demand, a new series of phenolic-based barbituric absorbers of ultraviolet (UV) radiation has been designed and synthesised in a sustainable manner.

To combat this, we have designed a new class of Meldrum-based phenolic UV-A filters. We explore the ultrafast photodynamics of coumaryl Meldrum, CMe, and sinapyl Meldrum (SMe), both in an industry-standard emollient and on a synthetic skin mimic, using femtosecond transient electronic and vibrational absorption spectroscopies and computational simulations.

A family of molecules called mycosporines and mycosporine-like amino acids (referred to as MAAs collectively) are synthesized by cyanobacteria, fungi and algae and act as the natural UV filters for these organisms. Mycosporines are formed of a cyclohexenone core structure while mycosporine-like amino acids are formed of a cyclohexenimine core structure.

The Aarhus Statement, published in 2012, provided methodological guidance to generate valid data on these key pre-diagnostic measures. However, there is still a wide variety of measuring instruments of varying quality in published research.

Beliefs about osteoarthritis and what primary care has to offer may influence the decision to consult but their relative importance has seldom been quantified. We sought to investigate the relative importance of perceived service-related and clinical need attributes in the decision to consult a primary care physician for painful osteoarthritis.

Isolated hydroperoxide isomers were thermally decomposed and the resulting volatile components analyzed. Each hydroperoxide or hydroperoxy cyclic peroxide isomer yielded characteristic volatile products.

The lipid content of seed from a set of isogenic lines for the R a : r a locus has been determined; the results show that this locus as well as affecting the starch, sugar and storage protein content and composition, also has a marked effect on the lipid content of the seed. Genotypes having different combinations of alleles at the r a and r b loci have also been examined; an r a r a r b r b , genotype had 5.57% purified total lipid in its seed - a more than 2-fold increase over that found in the round-seeded varieties (R a R a R b R b ) usually grown for the dry sed crop.
