Introduction: Annual influenza vaccination reduces disease burden but vaccination rates are suboptimal, with persistent disparities among subpopulations. The purpose of this trial is to evaluate multicomponent behavioural economic nudge interventions to clinicians and patients to increase influenza vaccination. This trial also includes an intensification nudge to reduce disparities in vaccination among older adult, primary care patients.

Staying home and avoiding unnecessary contact is an important part of the effort to contain COVID-19 and limit deaths. Every state in the United States enacted policies to encourage distancing and some mandated staying home. Understanding how these policies interact with individuals' voluntary responses to the COVID-19 epidemic is a critical initial step in understanding the role of these nonpharmaceutical interventions in transmission dynamics and assessing policy impacts.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFSurveillance genotyping (variable number tandem repeat profiling and spoligotyping) of Mycobacterium bovis isolates from culture-confirmed bovine tuberculosis (TB)-affected herds in Northern Ireland is presented for the years 2003 to 2008 inclusive. A total of 175 M bovis genotypes were identified in 8630 isolates from 6609 herds. On average, 73 genotypes were identified each year, with 29 genotypes present in all six years.
