Subscapularis tears, either in combination with more extensive rotator cuff pathology or in isolation, are a relatively common cause of shoulder pain and dysfunction which often requires surgical intervention. Similar to the general treatment of most rotator cuff tears, patients may respond to conservative treatment and not require surgical intervention, especially in the elderly or those with partial tears. However, many subscapularis tears require intervention to address complaints of pain, dysfunction, or both.

Severe nausea and vomiting of pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum affect up to 3% of all pregnant people, causing substantial maternal and neonatal morbidity, suffering, and financial cost. Evidence supports the association of cannabis consumption with symptoms of severe nausea and vomiting of pregnancy or hyperemesis gravidarum as the general public has come to believe that cannabis is a natural, safe antiemetic. Cannabis consumption in pregnancy is discouraged strongly by the Surgeon General of the United States and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists because of evidence of potential harms.

Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of different corn milling methods for high-moisture and dry corn on finishing cattle performance, carcass traits, and nutrient digestion. In experiment 1, steers (N = 600 [60 pens]; initial body weight [BW] = 402 ± 17 kg) were fed for 134 d to evaluate the effect of milling method and corn type on performance and carcass characteristics. Treatments were evaluated as a 2 × 3 factorial design with factors being milling method (Automatic Ag roller mill [ROLL] or hammer mill [HAMMER]) and corn type (high-moisture [HMC], dry [DC], or 50:50 blend of HMC and DC [BLEND]).

Purpose: To compare outcomes of telephone and face-to-face consultations for new otology referrals and discuss the wider use of telemedicine in otology.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study including new adult otology referrals to our unit, sampled consecutively between March 2021 and May 2021, seen in either a face-to-face or telephone clinic. Primary outcome measure was the proportion of patients with a definitive management outcome (discharged or added to waiting list for treatment) versus the proportion of patients requiring follow-up for further assessment or review.

Instead of applying extra sensors to the array, the capacitive information from multiple points of the array is gathered and analyzed to determine the state and behavior of the electrode array.
