Aims: FGFR-fused central nervous system (CNS) tumours are rare and are usually within the glioneuronal and neuronal tumours or the paediatric-type diffuse low-grade glioma spectrum. Among this spectrum, FGFR2 fusion has been documented in tumours classified by DNA-methylation profiling as polymorphous low-grade neuroepithelial tumours of the young (PLNTY), a recently described tumour type. However, FGFR2 fusions have also been reported in glioneuronal tumours, highlighting the overlapping diagnostic criteria and challenges.

Introduction: Surgery for gliomas can be guided by neuronavigation using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and intraoperative B-mode ultrasound. An ultrasensitive Doppler (USD) using plane waves is a new method of microvascularization imaging which can be used intraoperatively and could identify tumoral and peritumoral areas with neoangiogenesis but its value requires evaluation. The aim of this pilot study then was to evaluate the correlations between ultrasound measurements of glioma vascularization (tumoral and peritumoral region) obtained by a USD intraoperatively and first-pass perfusion measurements obtained on preoperative MRI.

Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is a myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm characterized by the infiltration of blood and bone marrow by immature monocytes, in which extra-hematopoietic localization is uncommon. We report the case of a 69-year-old-man with highly likely ectopic brain CMML involvement by MRI. Without the possibility of cerebral biopsy and with a negative infectious disease assessment, high-dose cytarabine-based chemotherapy was successfully administered.

Background: The neurobiology of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is still unknown. Alteration in glutamate metabolism might translate into an imbalance of the excitation/inhibition equilibrium of cortical networks that in turn are related to autistic symptoms, but previous studies using voxel located in bilateral anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) failed to show abnormalities in total glutamate level.
