Postpyloric Feeding Access in Infants and Children: A State of the Art Review.

Achieving postpyloric feeding access is a clinical challenge faced by the pediatric gastroenterologist in everyday practice. Currently, there is limited literature published on the topic. This article provides a practical summary of the literature on the different methods utilized to achieve postpyloric feeding access including bedside, fluoroscopic, endoscopic and surgical options.

Gastric Mucosa Fistula Secondary to Magnet Ingestion.

A 15-month-old female was incidentally found to have foreign bodies in the left upper quadrant on chest and abdominal imaging. She had no witnessed ingestion or gastrointestinal symptoms. Subsequent esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed 11 magnets, which formed a gastric mucosa fistula making endoscopic removal difficult.

A severe presentation of chronic non-infectious osteomyelitis associated with ulcerative colitis: a case report.

Background: Chronic Non-Infectious Osteomyelitis (CNO) is a chronic, relapsing, self-limiting inflammation of the bone. Although it is rare, CNO has been associated with inflammatory bowel disease and frequently precedes the initial diagnosis. We present a case of CNO in a patient with known ulcerative colitis in clinical remission who presented with purulent multifocal joint effusions in the setting of elevated inflammatory markers and fever suspicious for bacterial osteomyelitis.
