Worldwide, there are reports indicating that sheep raised in insular systems spontaneously consume seaweed. In the southern hemisphere, there exists , a brown seaweed that possesses minerals and fatty acids that could improve some aspects of sheep production and meat quality, respectively. However, the consumption of this algae in lambs has been scarcely studied.

Study Design: 132 infants were included (prenatal repair: 93 [69 fetoscopic and 24 open-hysterotomy]; postnatal repair: 39). Neurodevelopmental outcomes at or beyond 18 months were evaluated by a developmental pediatrician using the Capute scales (Clinical Adaptive Test [CAT]/ Clinical Linguistic & Auditory Milestone Scale [CLAMS]) and/or during parental interview using Developmental Profile 3 (DP-3) test.
Objective: Monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) twins with amniotic fluid abnormalities that do not meet criteria for twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) concern physicians and families. This study aimed to describe the natural history of amniotic fluid abnormalities.
Methods: In this retrospective case-control study, TTTS screening ultrasounds and clinical records throughout all MCDA twin gestations were reviewed between 2018 and 2022 at a tertiary fetal care center.
Background: Assessment of bone marrow infiltration (BMI) is part of the initial staging of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), although BMI evaluated by biopsy (BMB) is not considered significant in the MIPI scales, and standardized recommendations remain lacking.
Objectives: To evaluate the accuracy and prognostic impact of BMI assessed by PET/CT and BMB in a large series of MCL patients.
Methods: We deconstructed the IPI-NCCN, MIPI, and MIPI-c indices and considered BMI as positive if indicated by a BMB, PET/CT scan, or a combination of both.
Learning Objective: After participating in this CME activity, the psychiatrist should be better able to:• Explain current understanding of the relationship between chronic benzodiazepine use and dementia.
Background: Chronic use of benzodiazepines (BZ) for managing conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, sleep disorders, and other chronic diseases is widespread; yet, there is considerable controversy regarding its potential links to dementia risk. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to clarify this relationship by synthesizing and analyzing the available evidence to provide a clearer understanding of whether prolonged BZ use contributes to developing dementia.
Unlabelled: Endometriosis is a chronic disease characterized by the growth of the endometrium outside the uterine cavity. In response to estradiol, this tissue begins to proliferate and grow, forming lesions and nodules, which can invade the tissues, causing pelvic pain and infertility. The most widely used pharmacological treatment is progesterone, which manages to reduce symptoms, but approximately one-third of patients develop resistance to treatment.

This study aims to review the etiology, clinical manifestations, management, and outcomes of patients diagnosed and treated for HAP at the Mayo Clinic.
Methodology: This study was a retrospective chart review of medical records for patients diagnosed and treated for hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm (HAP) at the Mayo Clinic (Florida, Minnesota, and Arizona) between September 1, 1998, and June 30, 2022.
Introduction: The rapidly evolving healthcare landscape has prompted Medical Affairs (MA) departments within pharmaceutical companies to transition from their traditional role as information providers to becoming strategic partners in the healthcare ecosystem. Responding to the increasing complexity of patient needs and stakeholder dynamics within Spain's national health system, this shift emphasizes the importance of aligning MA functions with broader healthcare goals. Effective transformation requires in-depth assessments of stakeholder trends and expectations.

However, due to its low bioavailability and unfavorable pharmacokinetics, analogous compounds have been developed to obtain better biopharmaceutical characteristics and enhanced biological effects.

Aims: To evaluate the effects of a slow-delivery chlorhexidine:beta-cyclodextrin (Cx:β-Cd) gel compared with those of free Cx free formulations on clinical parameters in patients undergoing treatment with fixed orthodontic appliances.
Methods: Patients aged 12-18 years received prophylaxis and scaling and were randomised to treatment groups in a double-blinded manner.
In Chile, Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout face significant production challenges due to the presence of Flavobacterium psychrophilum, which generates severe disease issues and economic losses. To address this, the salmon industry relies on vaccines and antibiotics, the latter raising concerns about bacterial resistance. For that reason, our study explores an alternative strategy for controlling F.

HSV hepatitis can be life-threatening due to its rapid progression to liver failure if not treated on time. It affects primarily immunocompromised individuals but can also present in immunocompetent hosts.

The Oligomerization of Thorase is crucial for its disassembly and remodeling functions. We show that wild-type Thorase forms long helical filaments , dependent on ATP binding but not hydrolysis.

However, data on hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) are scarce. In an observational study, we assessed the impact of on the modulation of the gut microbiome in HSCT patients colonized by MDROs.

We report a case in which cognitive error substantially influenced a patient's diagnosis and treatment. CASE REPORT This report recounts the case of an adolescent girl with symptoms similar to those of her previous episodes of tetrahydrocannabinol-induced hyperemesis, despite a 21-kg weight loss over 6 months.

Background: Limited information exists on carriage of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO) by health workers (HWs) in primary care settings. This study aims to determine the prevalence of MDRO carriage among HWs in primary care and to identify associated risk factors.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted across all 12 primary care units in São Caetano do Sul-SP, Brazil, from October to December 2023.
