Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the oral mucosa. This disorder has been suggested to be related to an impairment of lipid metabolism and profile. A number of studies indicate a higher incidence of dyslipidemia in OLP patients compared to not-affected individuals.
