Chronic pain syndromes include chronic low back pain, tension type and migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. Adjunctive therapies may provide real benefit by themselves, as well as when combined with one another and more traditional treatments such as medication and physical therapy. High-quality evidence, including systematic reviews, and/or clinical practice guidelines support the use of acupuncture, acupressure, massage, and/or mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) in patients with one or more of these chronic pain syndromes.

Design: We modified the Wisconsin Upper Respiratory Symptom Survey (WURSS) to conduct a 3 arm, parallel, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, enrolling patients with mild-to-moderate symptoms of COVID-19 infection. Patients took placebo ( = 34), vitamin C 1000 mg ( = 32), or melatonin 10 mg (n = 32) orally for 14 days.
Dysmenorrhea is common and usually independent of, rather than secondary to, pelvic pathology. Dysmenorrhea occurs in 50% to 90% of adolescent girls and women of reproductive age and is a leading cause of absenteeism. Secondary dysmenorrhea as a result of endometriosis, pelvic anatomic abnormalities, or infection may present with progressive worsening of pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, vaginal discharge, or dyspareunia.

Background And Objectives: Obesity is a common problem that increases risk of many other diseases, from heart disease to cancer. While counseling by a physician increases patient report of weight loss attempts and increased exercise, primary care physicians do not frequently address obesity. The objectives of this study were to determine how often obesity was included on the problem list and whether adding obesity to the problem list affected the rate at which it was addressed in future visits.
