Background And Purpose: With proton therapy, the relative biological effectiveness (RBE) accounts for increased DNA damage caused by higher linear energy transfer (LET) compared to photons. However, the LET and hence the RBE varies along the proton range, particularly at the Bragg peak, introducing challenges in proton treatment planning for brain tumors. The aim of this paper is to standardize evaluating and reporting LET and RBE in proton therapy for patients with grade 2 and 3 IDH mutant gliomas among the Dutch proton therapy centers.

Materials And Methods: In this planned update of the neurological contouring atlas published in 2018, ten new clinically relevant OARs were included, after thorough discussion between experienced neuro-radiation oncologists (RTOs) representing 30 European radiotherapy-oncology institutes. Inclusion was based on daily practice and research requirements.
Proton therapy offers an attractive alternative to conventional photon-based radiotherapy in low grade glioma patients, delivering radiotherapy with equivalent efficacy to the tumour with less radiation exposure to the brain. In the Netherlands, patients with favourable prognosis based on tumour and patient characteristics can be offered proton therapy. Radiation-induced neurocognitive function decline is a major concern in these long surviving patients.

Following the publication of a digital, online atlas for OAR delineation in neuro-oncology by the same group, we assessed the brain OAR-dose constraints in a follow-up study.
Methods: We performed a comprehensive search to identify the current papers on OAR dose constraints for normofractionated photon and particle therapy in PubMed, Ovid Medline, Cochrane Library, Embase and Web of Science.
Purpose: To create a digital, online atlas for organs at risk (OAR) delineation in neuro-oncology based on high-quality computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging.
Methods: CT and 3 Tesla (3T) MR images (slice thickness 1 mm with intravenous contrast agent) were obtained from the same patient and subsequently fused. In addition, a 7T MR without intravenous contrast agent was obtained from a healthy volunteer.

In patients with systemic lupus erythaematosus (SLE) the highest frequency of increased serum levels of IgG anti-ClqAb were found, whereas IgA anti-ClqAb were predominantly present in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and patients with rheumatoid arthritis complicated by vasculitis (RV). In all the IgA anti-ClqAb positive AS and RV patients the antibody reactivity involved the IgA1 subclass while the IgA2 subclass was found in 47% of the patients.

In untreated rats and rats depleted from KC the clearance kinetics and the tissue distribution of hu C1q were measured. In this study we determined the occurrence of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) and the specificity of these antibodies (Ab) in the serum of patients with Felty's syndrome (FS) and in serum of patients with uncomplicated rheumatoid arthritis (RA). ANCA, detected by indirect immunofluorescence on ethanol-fixed neutrophils, was found in 77% of 30 patients with FS and in 36% of 50 RA patients. Ab against lactoferrin (LF) occurred more frequently in FS patients (50%) than in RA patients (4%), whereas reactivity against the other cytoplasmic antigens tested (proteinase-3, myeloperoxidase and elastase) did not differ significantly between these patient groups.

The prevalence of antibodies against the collagen-like region of the subcomponent of the first component of complement, C1q, was investigated in 11 patients with anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) nephritis. Anti-C1q antibodies (anti-C1qAb) were detected in seven patients. IgG anti-C1qAb were found in four and IgA anti-C1qAb in five patients.
