In Triatoma infestans it was observed pyrethroid resistance attributed in part to an elevated oxidative metabolism mediated by cytochromes P450. The nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR) plays a crucial role in catalysing the electron transfer from NADPH to all cytochrome P450s. The daily variations in the expression of CPR gene and a P450 gene (CYP4EM7), both associated with insecticide resistance, suggested that their expressions would be under the endogenous clock control.

Swine influenza viruses (SIV) produce a highly contagious and worldwide distributed disease that can cause important economic losses to the pig industry. Currently, this virus is endemic in farms and, although used limitedly, trivalent vaccine application is the most extended strategy to control SIV. The presence of pre-existing immunity against SIV may modulate the evolutionary dynamic of this virus.

Despite the impressive results of autologous CAR-T cell therapy in refractory B lymphoproliferative diseases, CAR-NK immunotherapy emerges as a safer, faster, and cost-effective approach with no signs of severe toxicities as described for CAR-T cells. Permanently scrutinized for its efficacy, recent promising data in CAR-NK clinical trials point out the achievement of deep, high-quality responses, thus confirming its potential clinical use. Although CAR-NK cell therapy is not significantly affected by the loss or downregulation of its CAR tumor target, as in the case of CAR-T cell, a plethora of common additional tumor intrinsic or extrinsic mechanisms that could also disable NK cell function have been described.
