Objectives: To investigate factors associated with dermatomyositis (DM) complete clinical response and overall survival with a focus on the use of immunosuppressive therapies in patients with cancer-associated DM.
Methods: We performed a multicentre, retrospective cohort study. Multivariable survival analyses used a Cox model with time-dependent covariates and adjustments with inverse probability censoring weighting.
During the course of acute ZIKV infection, pruritus is a cardinal symptom widely documented in the literature. Its frequent association with dysesthesia and several dysautonomic manifestations, suggests a pathophysiological mechanism involving the peripheral nervous system. The aim of this study was to develop a functional human model to potentially able to be infected by ZIKV: by demonstrating the functionality on a new human model of co-culture of keratinocyte and sensory neuron derived from induced pluripotent stem cells using a classical method of capsaicin induction and SP release, and verify the presence of ZIKV entry receptor in these cells.

Methods: Patients with a diagnosis of DM and sera positive for the anti-SAE antibody were recruited from 19 centres in this retrospective observational study.
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are serious and rare diseases, most often drug-induced, and their incidence has been estimated at 6 cases/million/year in France. SJS and TEN belong to the same spectrum of disease known as epidermal necrolysis (EN). They are characterized by more or less extensive epidermal detachment, associated with mucous membrane involvement, and may be complicated during the acute phase by fatal multiorgan failure.

Objectives: To assess a potential relationship between the occurrence of APO and the serum value of anti-BP180 antibodies at the time of PG diagnosis.
Objective: To assess the role of the anti-TIF1γ auto-antibody (aAb) IgG2 isotype as a biomarker of cancer in anti-TIF1γ aAb-positive adult DM.
Methods: International multicentre retrospective study with the following inclusion criteria: (i) diagnosis of DM according to ENMC criteria; (ii) presence of anti-TIF1γ IgG aAb determined using an in-house addressable laser bead immunoassay (ALBIA) from cryopreserved serums sampled at time of DM diagnosis and (iii) available baseline characteristics and follow-up data until the occurrence of cancer and/or a minimum follow-up of 1 year for patients without known cancer at diagnosis. Detection and quantification of anti-TIF1γ IgG2 aAb was done using the in-house ALBIA.
Managing emerging infectious diseases is a current challenge in the fields of microbiology and epidemiology. Indeed, among other environmental and human-related factors, climate change and global warming favor the emergence of new pathogens. The recent Zika virus (ZIKV) epidemic, of which the large and rapid spread surprised the scientific community, is a reminder of the importance to study viruses currently responsible for sporadic infections.

Introduction: The distinction between epidermal necrolysis [EN; including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and overlap syndrome] and erythema multiforme major (EMM) in children is confusing. We aimed to better describe and compare these entities.
Materials And Methods: This French retrospective multicentre study included children ≤18 years old referred for EN or EMM between 1 January 2008 and 1 March 2019.
Objective: To deep sequence the TRIM33 gene in tumours from patients with cancer-associated anti-TIF1γ autoantibody-positive dermatomyositis (DM) as TRIM33 somatic mutations in tumours may trigger this auto-immune disease.
Methods: Next generation sequencing of tumour DNA samples from patients with cancer-associated anti-TIF1γ autoantibody-positive DM. Fourteen tumours from 13 anti-TIF1γ autoantibody-positive DM individuals were sequenced along with two control tumours from non-DM individuals.

Introduction: Sarcoidosis in patients of African or Afro-Caribbean origin presents semiological characteristics, together with polymorphic skin lesions, more extensive forms and a poorer prognosis. Ulcerated and particularly diffuse skin forms are very rare. Herein we report a case of diffuse ulcerated skin sarcoidosis appearing on top of old scars in a female patient of Afro-Caribbean origin.

The pandemic emergence of several mosquito-borne viruses highlights the need to understand the different ways in which they can be transmitted by vectors to human hosts. In this study, we evaluated the propensity of to transmit mechanically Zika virus (ZIKV) using an experimental design. Mosquitoes were allowed to feed on ZIKV-infected blood and were then rapidly transferred to feed on ZIKV-free blood until they finished their meal.

Yet, a substantial proportion of anti-TIF1γ-positive DM patients do not develop cancer. This study was undertaken to identify biomarkers to better evaluate the risk of cancer and mortality in DM.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the risk of cancer in the presence of anti-TIF-1γ autoantibody in adult dermatomyositis. A comprehensive database search of EMBASE, MEDLINE and the Cochrane Library up to May 2018 was performed using the main key words "dermatomyositis", ""myositis", "inflammatory myopathies" and "anti-TIF-1".
