Introduction: Hexahydrocannabinol is a hexahydro derivative of cannabinol. Poisoning with hexahydrocannabinol was first observed in Europe in May 2022.
Method: This is a retrospective observational study of cases of self-reported hexahydrocannabinol exposure reported to French poison centres between 1 January 2022 and 31 May 2023.
In September 2023, a severe outbreak of type B botulism with fifteen cases was linked to consumption of canned sardines at a restaurant in Bordeaux, France, during the Rugby World Cup. The cases were from seven countries. One death was recorded.

Methods: In a multicenter study, we randomly assigned adults with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to receive successive injections of either 1 mg of epinephrine and 40 IU of vasopressin or 1 mg of epinephrine and saline placebo, followed by administration of the same combination of study drugs if spontaneous circulation was not restored and subsequently by additional epinephrine if needed. The primary end point was survival to hospital admission; the secondary end points were return of spontaneous circulation, survival to hospital discharge, good neurologic recovery, and 1-year survival.
Natural hallucinogenic substances have been used in numerous cultures throughout the world for millenniums, providing a sacred intermediary between men and gods. They were used during initiatory, divinatory rites and played an essential role in the myths of exorcism and charm where the initiated enters a sort of trance which separates the soul from the body before "revival". It resulted that a number of plants were given names reflecting their relationship with the divinities, bestowing upon them an aura of mystery and sacredness.
