Background And Objective: Although prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) has impacted the investigation and management of biochemical recurrence (BCR) of prostate cancer, negative scans are common at low rising prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. PET/CT devices with an extended axial field-of-view, such as the Siemens Biograph Vision Quadra (Quadra) scanner, have substantially higher sensitivity than conventional field-of-view scanners. Our aim was to assess whether the enhanced signal-to-noise ratios achieved on the Quadra scanner improve detection of low-volume disease and thereby increase detection of PC at low PSA levels.

Background: Heat-inactivated probiotics (HPs) may provide an effective alternative to live probiotics (P) by avoiding their risks (eg, probiotic sepsis) while retaining the benefits. We assessed the safety and efficacy of a HP in very preterm (VP: gestation <32 weeks) infants.
Methods: VP infants were randomly allocated to receive a HP or P mixture ( M-16V, subsp.
Background: Most patients starting chronic in-center hemodialysis (HD) receive conventional hemodialysis (CHD) with three sessions per week targeting specific biochemical clearance. Observational studies suggest that patients with residual kidney function can safely be treated with incremental prescriptions of HD, starting with less frequent sessions and later adjusting to thrice-weekly HD. This trial aims to show objectively that clinically matched incremental HD (CMIHD) is non-inferior to CHD in eligible patients.

This is the 5-year analysis of the TRANSFORM trial, the largest prospective cohort of men with oligometastatic PCa treated with SBRT-based MDT. The primary endpoint was 5-year treatment escalation-free survival (TE-FS), defined as freedom from any new cancer therapy other than further SBRT.

Alisertib, an Aurora Kinase A (AK-A) ATP site inhibitor, induces cell cycle disruption resulting in polyaneuploidy in Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). Propidium iodide flow cytometry was utilized to quantify alisertib induced polyploidy in U2932 and VAL cell lines.

However there is less knowledge about whether exposure to low levels of positive leadership behaviours increase workers' risk of clinical mental disorders. We investigated whether low levels of positive leadership behaviours are prospectively associated with risk of treatment for depressive and anxiety disorders.

In 1996, continuous renal replacement therapy was added to the list of nephrology requirements. These procedure requirements have not been modified since 1996 while the practice of nephrology has changed dramatically.

This study focused on isolating and characterising potential probiotics from the gut microbiota of the emerging aquaculture species jade perch (Scortum barcoo). Eighty-seven lactic acid bacteria and 149 other bacteria were isolated from the digestive tract of five adult jade perch.

Depending on the tissue of origin and the therapeutic course, a variety of biological mechanisms can support and sustain drug resistance. Although genetic mutations and gene silencing through epigenetic mechanisms are major culprits in targeted therapy, drug efflux and polyploidization are more global mechanisms that prevail in a broad range of pathologies, in response to a variety of treatments.

However, investigating such fluctuations may prove useful for uncovering processes and mechanisms associated with bullying and its antecedents and consequences as they unfold over time. In the present study, based on recent discoveries on traumatic experiences and posttraumatic stress (PTS), we hypothesized that even short-term exposure to bullying behaviors-such as the exposure that characterizes an individual when the considered is a working week-may already have a substantial psychological impact at the within-individual level, as indicated by the experience of PTS symptoms.

We aimed to complete this scoping review in order to map experience and perceptions amongst surgeons and surgical trainees to remote learning during the COVID pandemic.
Methods: Using Arksey and O'Malley's five step model for conducting a scoping review, a systematic search strategy was undertaken across three online databases SCOPUS, MEDLINE and Web of Science.
Background: We examined the association of depressive symptoms with subsequent events - and duration thereof - of work nonparticipation (long-term sickness absence, unemployment and early retirement).
Methods: We employed a 5-year cohort from the Study on Mental Health at Work (S-MGA), based on a random sample of employees subject to social contributions aged 31-60 years in 2012 (N = 2413). Depressive symptoms were assessed at baseline through questionnaires, while work nonparticipation was recorded in follow-up interviews.
Energy-based therapies (EBT) are increasingly being used as comfort measures for hospitalized patients. This article describes the background and process of implementing an EBT healing touch (HT) pilot program in an inpatient rehabilitation unit. The pilot built on knowledge gained in a preliminary EBT pilot in two hospital units to improve rehabilitation patient outcomes and gather additional information to support a fully funded, sustainable rehabilitation EBT program.

As ctDNA-based liquid biopsy kits are developed and used in clinics, companies work towards increased convenience, accuracy, and cost over solid biopsies and other oncological markers. The technology used to differentiate ctDNA and cell-free DNA (cfDNA) continues to improve with new tests and methodologies being able to detect down to mutant allele frequencies of 0.

Reported here, instead of physical causation, statistical correlations were used to study the factors responsible for the adhesion, proliferation and maturation of pre-osteoblasts MC3T3-E1 cultured on Titanium alloys. Eight alloys with varying wt% of Niobium, Zirconium, Tin and Tantalum (Ti- (2-22 wt%)Nb- (5-20 wt%)Zr- (0-18 wt%)Sn- (0-14 wt%)Ta) were designed to achieve exemplars of allotropes (incl.

This may be due to the FL either reducing concerns about sacrificial harm (deontological inclinations) or increasing concerns about overall outcomes (utilitarian inclinations). Moreover, proficiency in a foreign language (FL) may moderate results.

Despite support services, working in this space can have negative impacts on wellbeing. This paper explores the experiences and perceptions held by police officers and staff involved in CSAE investigations in the United Kingdom, regarding work-related wellbeing support and barriers to accessing such support.

A cross-sectional study was conducted via an online survey including answers from a representative sample of 1571 individuals aged 18-74 years, living and working in Denmark. In line with our hypotheses, we found that a more positive intergenerational workplace climate was related to a better self-perceived aging as well as to more work engagement and less turnover intention.
