The OSMOSIS Study (Osteopontin as a Marker of Stenosis) tested the hypothesis that the systemic osteopontin level, a pro-inflammatory mediator related to vascular remodelling and intimal hyperplasia, increases in AVF stenosis, and may be used in clinical surveillance.
