To reveal the responsible microorganisms of microbiologically-influenced-corrosion (MIC), using 16S rRNA and ITS sequencing techniques, we investigated the bacterial and fungal communities in rust layer and seawater. Results show that the corrosion-related genera of , , and bacteria, as well as fungi, were overrepresented in the rust layer, along with the and bacteria in seawater, and , , and bacteria were first detected in the rust layer. SourceTracker analysis revealed that approximately 23.

The appearance of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) provides a promising energy technology for harvesting abundant water wave energy. Here, the design and fabrication of a swinging origami-structured TENG (SO-TENG) tailored specifically for water wave energy harvesting are presented. The design incorporates an oscillating structure weighted at the bottom, inducing reciprocating motion propelled by the inertia of passing water waves.

This study investigated the anti-corrosion performance of commercial amino alcohol migratory corrosion inhibitors (MCIs) on concrete that underwent varying degrees of chloride erosion. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization (PD), scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) analyses were performed to study the anti-corrosion performance and mechanism of the MCIs on the steel bars. The results indicated that the corrosion resistance of the steel bars in concrete was significantly improved by coating with the MCIs, and the earlier the specimens were coated with the MCIs, the higher the anti-corrosion efficiency.
