Stem cell treatment may enhance erectile dysfunction (ED) in individuals with cavernous nerve injury (CNI). Nevertheless, no investigations have directly ascertained the implications of varying amounts of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (HUC-MSCs) on ED. We compare the efficacy of three various doses of HUC-MSCs as a therapeutic strategy for ED.

Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), a key transcription factor regulating cellular responses to hypoxia, is reportedly involved in the course of inflammation. The role of HIF-1α in DKD has been investigated, but the conclusions are controversial so far.

The aim of this research is to examine the impact of linoleic acid on the damage caused by calcium oxalate kidney stones on renal tubular epithelial cells. Calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM) crystals were prepared and used to treat HK-2 cells, which were further treated with different concentrations of linoleic acid in vitro.

Through high-throughput sequencing, we identified differentially expressed miRNAs in sperm, with miR-133a-3p significantly upregulated in samples associated with low FR and available embryo rate (AER). Key regulatory circRNAs and mRNAs were further identified via the Starbase database, intersected with differentially expressed RNA, and analyzed through GO, KEGG, and PPI analyses.

Ozone (O₃) is recognized for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and anti-hypoxic properties, along with its minimal residual impact. However, the development of sustained O₃-release antibacterial hydrogels has been challenging due to the low solubility and short lifespan of ozone.

From January 2014 to December 2018, 210 patients with RCC who underwent surgical treatment at the Xuzhou Central Hospital were selected as the research object. The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to determine the optimal cut-off value for preoperative SII, PNI, LMR, PLR, NLR and the patients were divided into groups according to the optimal cutoff values.

Objective: This study investigates the thromboelastography (TEG) changes in patients with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA) to identify effective diagnostic markers for URSA.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 160 URSA patients from the Gynecology Department of the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang (June 2017 - June 2020) and compared them with 190 healthy, fertile women without adverse pregnancy histories (control group). TEG parameters were assessed using logistic regression, applying stepwise selection for model optimization.

Natural tissues, like ligaments and tendons, display not just robust mechanical performance but also complex anisotropic structures extending beyond one-directional arrangements. However, fabricating hydrogel actuators with biomimetic three-dimensional anisotropy remains challenging. Herein, a simple strategy involving curving-stretching induced alignment is proposed to prepare anisotropic Fe-cross-linked poly(acrylic acid)-poly(acrylamide) hydrogel actuators.

In recent years, CRC incidence in China has persistently increased. Total flavonoids (TFA) from , a natural compound, are recognized for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antioxidant properties.

This study aimed to investigate the pivotal role of microRNAs in circulating plasma extracellular vesicles in distinguishing between non-obstructive azoospermia and obstructive azoospermia, as well as uncovering the signaling pathways involved in azoospermia pathogenesis. In this study, differential expression of extracellular vesicle miR-513c-5p and miR-202-5p was observed between non-obstructive azoospermia and obstructive azoospermia patients, while the selenocompound metabolism pathway could be affected in azoospermia through Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis.

A total of 147 patients from Xuzhou Central Hospital were enrolled as the training cohort, and 63 patients from Suqian Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were enrolled as the test cohort. Based on two consecutive phases of patch level prediction and WSI-level predictione, we built a pathomics model, with the initial model developed in the training cohort and subjected to transfer learning, and then the test cohort was validated for generalization.

Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the association between microRNAs (miRNAs)-mediated regulation and the anti-tumor activities of solasonine in BC.
Methods: MiRNA sequencing was performed to identify the differentially expressed microRNAs (DE-miRNAs) associated with solasonine in BC cells.
Troponin T1 (TNNT1) plays a crucial role in muscle contraction but its role in cancer, particularly in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), is not well-understood. This study explores the expression, clinical significance and biological functions of TNNT1 in various cancers, with an emphasis on its involvement in KIRC. We analysed TNNT1 expression in cancers using databases like TCGA and GTEx, assessing its prognostic value, mutation patterns, methylation status and functional implications.

Objective: To investigate the difference in the levels of metabolites in the seminal plasma exosomes (SPE) of men with a high sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI) from those with a low DFI.
Methods: We performed a sperm exosomal metabolomics analysis of 5 healthy married men with DFI ≤15% (the control group) and another 5 with DFI ≥30% and matched in marital status, age and body mass index with the controls (the case group). Using high-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrum, we examined the metabolites, observed their difference, and analyzed the metabolite enrichment pathway by Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG).
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common clinical condition that mainly affects men aged over 40 years. Various causes contribute to the progression of ED, including pelvic nerve injury, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, age, Peyronie's disease, smoking, and psychological disorders. Current treatments for ED are limited to symptom relief and do not address the root cause.

Despite numerous observational studies suggesting an association between PCOS and GDM, it remains unclear whether a definitive causal relationship exists between these two conditions and which specific features of PCOS contribute to increased incidence of GDM.
Methods: The causal relationship between polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), its characteristic indices, and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was investigated using a two-sample Mendelian randomization study based on publicly available statistics from genome-wide association studies (GWAS).
