Due to the lack of blood vessels and nerves, the ability of cartilage to repair itself is limited, and the injury of articular cartilage urgently needs effective treatment. Currently, the limitation of clinical repair for cartilage defects is that it is difficult to form pure hyaline cartilage repair, and the source of cartilage tissue and cells is limited. To obtain high-purity regenerated hyaline cartilage, we proposed to construct an injectable hydrogel precursor by using human living hyaline cartilage graft (hLhCG) secreted by human chondrocytes as the dispersed phase and fibrinogen solution as the continuous phase, by double injection with thrombin, three-dimensional network hydrogel structure was formed under the action of thrombin to repair joint defects.

Background: Hollow screw internal fixation is commonly used in clinical treatment of impacted femoral neck fractures. Previous studies have demonstrated a correlation between the preoperative posterior tilt angle of the femoral head and failure of internal fixation, but there are fewer studies related to the occurrence of postoperative femoral head necrosis and the posterior tilt angle.

Methods: To examine the relationship between three-dimensional posterior tilt angle measurements in affected femoral neck fractures and postoperative osteonecrosis of the femoral head and related risk variables.

The immunogenicity of Aha1, an OMP of mediating the adhesion of bacteria onto the mucosal surface of hosts has been established. In this study, recombinant vectors, pPG1 and pPG2, carrying a 1366 bp DNA fragment that was responsible for encoding the 49 kDa Aha1 from were constructed, respectively, then electroporated into a probiotic strain CC16 separately to generate two types of recombinants, pPG1-Aha1 (Lc-pPG1-Aha1) and -pPG2-Aha1 (Lc-pPG2-Aha1). Subsequently, these were orally administered into common carps to examine their immunogenicity.

Here, we describe a novel method using microwave ablation (MWA) guided by electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB) and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for simultaneous treatment of multiple high-risk pulmonary nodules in a 47-year-old woman. After the ENB registration process, the operator delivered the locatable electromagnetic probe to the target in the right upper lobe following the navigational route. MWA was performed after an antenna was passed into the lesion through the working channel.

Farmed mink (Neovison vison) is one of the most important fur-bearing species worldwide, and coat colour is a crucial qualitative characteristic that contributes to the economic value of the fur. To identify additional genes that may play important roles in coat colour regulation, Illumina/Solexa high-throughput sequencing technology was used to catalogue the global gene expression profiles in mink skin with two different coat colours (black and white). RNA-seq analysis indicated that a total of 12,557 genes were differentially expressed in black versus white minks, with 3,530 genes up-regulated and 9,027 genes down-regulated in black minks.

As the rate-limiting enzyme in ATP/ADP-AMP-adenosine pathway, CD39 would be a novel checkpoint inhibitor target in preventing adenosine-triggered immune-suppressive effect. In addition, CD39 Tregs, but not CD25 Tregs, exhibit sustained Foxp3 levels and functional abilities, indicating it could represent a new specific marker of Tregs. Similarly, inhibition of CD39 enzymatic function at the surface of tumor cells alleviates their immunosuppressive activity.
