Pancreatic cancer is a devastating malignancy in great need of new and more effective treatment approaches. In recent years, studies have indicated that nutritional interventions, particularly nutraceuticals, may provide novel avenues to modulate cancer progression. Here, our study characterizes the impact of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), as a nutraceutical intervention in pancreatic cancer using a genetically engineered mouse model driven by KrasG12D and Trp53R172H.

Materials And Methods: Vital (n = 16) and RCT (n = 16) teeth were, respectively, endodontically treated or retreated. Fiber posts were luted either with SERc (Clearfil Universal Bond Quick + DC Core Plus) or SARc (iCEM).
Purpose: To evaluate interfacial three-dimensional adaptation and internal voids of different flowable materials before and after cyclic fatigue in a simulated deep-margin elevation scenario.
Methods: Eighty (n = 80) extracted premolars were selected and two Class II cavities were prepared. The mesial one with cervical margin 1 mm above the cementum-enamel junction (CEJ) and the distal one with cervical margin 1 mm below the CEJ.
The majority of primary brain tumors are gliomas, among which glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common malignant brain tumor in adults. GBM has a median survival of 18-24 months, and despite extensive research it remains incurable, thus novel therapies are urgently needed. The current standard of care is a combination of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, but still remains ineffective due to the invasive nature and high recurrence of gliomas.

Materials And Methods: The study included 55 children with CD (110 ears) and 25 healthy controls (50 ears) matched for age and gender. The CD group was divided into adherent (n = 31) and nonadherent (n = 24) to GFD.
(1) : The objective of this in vitro study was to evaluate the impact of different etching times and ethanol pre-treatments on the immediate bond strength of a hydrophilic multi-mode universal adhesive (Clearfil Universal Bond Quick, Kuraray, UBQ) and on the consequent gelatinolytic activity of metalloproteinases (MMPs) on radicular dentin. (2) : Sixty single-root teeth were selected and divided into four groups according to the adhesive protocol applied for fiber post cementation: (G1) 15 s HPO application + UBQ; (G2) 30 s HPO application + UBQ; (G3) 15 s HPO application + ethanol pre-treatment + UBQ; (G4) 30 s HPO + ethanol pre-treatment + UBQ. After adhesive procedures, fiber posts were luted into the post space with a dual-curing cement (DC Core, Kuraray) and light-cured for 40 s.

Materials And Methods: A maxillary second premolar 3D model was created in SolidWorks 2014 (Dassault Systémés). Severe loss of tooth structure was simulated with six restorative options: 1) glass-fiber-reinforced composite post and composite core (GFRC)+CAD/CAM leucite-reinforced glass-ceramic crown (LRC); 2) carbon-fiberreinforced composite post and composite core (CFRC)+LRC; 3) metal cast post-and-core (MPC)+LRC 4) GFRC+CAD/CAM composite resin crown (CC); 5) CFRC+CC; 6) MPC+CC.
Glioblastoma (GBM) remains a challenge in Neuro-oncology, with a poor prognosis showing only a 5% survival rate beyond two years. This is primarily due to its aggressiveness and intra-tumoral heterogeneity, which limits complete surgical resection and reduces the efficacy of existing treatments. The existence of oncostreams-neuropathological structures comprising aligned spindle-like cells from both tumor and non-tumor origins- is discovered earlier.

Despite the number of advantages and limitations of this approach, there is no evidence-based information about its efficiency in comparison with that of the traditional method in endodontics. (2) Objectives: We aimed to explore any beneficial effects of the DNS and compare the outcomes of DNS vs.

Methods: Rectangular specimens (10 mm-long, 5 mm-large and 4.2 mm-thick) were prepared and divided into four groups (n = 30/group).
Introduction: Computer simulations are stimulating increased attention in dentistry. Augmented reality superimposes a virtual scenario over an existing reality and allows interaction with it. Virtual reality (VR) simulates a fully immersive situation permitting the user to experience the full environment in real time.

We used time-resolved tracking of individual glioblastoma cells to investigate collective motion in an ex vivo model of glioblastoma. At the population level, glioblastoma cells display weakly polarized motion in the (directional) velocities of single cells.

Methods: One hundred and twenty monoradicular human teeth were endodontically treated and randomly divided into six groups, depending on the cementation strategy and root dentin pretreatment (n = 20): EAR: cementation with an etch-and-rinse adhesive (LuxaBond Total Etch, DMG) and resin cement (LuxaCore Z Dual, DMG); EAR/EDC: 1 min EDC pretreatment after etching + EAR; SE: cementation with a self-etch primer (Multilink Primer, Ivoclar Vivadent) and corresponding cement (Multilink Automix, Ivoclar Vivadent); SE/EDC: self-etch primer + EDC pretreatment + SE; SA: cementation with a universal self-adhesive cement (RelyX Universal, 3 M); SA/EDC: EDC pretreatment + SA.
Purpose: To retrospectively evaluate the clinical behavior of direct anterior composite restorations performed with a universal adhesive or with a three-step etch-and-rinse (E&R) adhesive.
Material And Methods: Patients were randomly treated with a three-step E&R adhesive (Optibond FL, Kerr) or a universal adhesive (Clearfil Universal Bond Quick, Kuraray Noritake) applied in E&R mode. All restorations were performed with a nanohybrid composite (ClearFil Majesty ES-2, Kuraray Noritake) by the same experienced operator.
Development of spatial-integrative pre-clinical models is needed for glioblastoma, which are heterogenous tumors with poor prognosis. Here, we present an optimized protocol to generate three-dimensional ex vivo explant slice glioma model from orthotopic tumors, genetically engineered mouse models, and fresh patient-derived specimens. We describe a step-by-step workflow for tissue acquisition, dissection, and sectioning of 300-μm tumor slices maintaining cell viability.

Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate whether the partial-coverage adhesive preparation design and finish line depth affect the trueness and precision of different IOSs.
Material And Methods: Seven partial-coverage adhesive preparation designs (4 different onlays, 2 endocrowns, and 1 occlusal veneer) were tested on copies of the same tooth placed in a typodont mounted on a mannequin.
Introduction: High-grade gliomas (HGG) are the most common malignant primary brain tumors in adults, with a median survival of ~18 months. The standard of care (SOC) is maximal safe surgical resection, and radiation therapy with concurrent and adjuvant temozolomide. This protocol remains unchanged since 2005, even though HGG median survival has marginally improved.
