Background: Hispanics/Latinos of Dominican background living in United States (US) have the highest hypertension prevalence compared with other Hispanic/Latino persons.
Objective: To understand cardiovascular health among Dominicans, we evaluated hypertension prevalence and risk factors among Dominicans from the US and Dominican Republic (DR) using data from Hispanic Community Health Study/ Study of Latinos [HCHS/SOL] and the Prevalencia de Hipertension Arterial y Factores de Riesgo Cardiovasculares en la República Dominicana al 2017 (ENPREFAR-HAS 17) study.
Methods: Hypertension was defined as blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg, self-reported hypertension, or antihypertensive use.
Background: Data on long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes of normocephalic children (born with normal head circumference) exposed to Zika virus in utero are scarce. We aimed to compare neurodevelopmental outcomes in normocephalic children up to age 48 months with and without Zika virus exposure in utero.
Methods: In this prospective cohort study, we included infants from two cohorts of normocephalic children born in León and Managua, Nicaragua during the 2016 Zika epidemic.

The purpose of the present study is to analyze clinical and radiological outcomes of a series of patients with Crowe type IV hip dysplasia who underwent a THA with transverse subtrochanteric shortening osteotomy and conical stem fixation in our Hip surgery unit.

An aminonaphthalimide-squaraine non-conjugated system was designed and synthetized with the purpose of preparing fluorescent molecule in the 650-700 nm region that could operate via energy transfer (ET) between covalently linked naphthalimide and squaraine chromophores.
