Background: Stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) of nonanimal origin manufactured using the patented NASHA® technology has been developed for use in body shaping. Background: Macrolane is a biocompatible, biodegradable, injectable stabilized hyaluronic acid-based gel of nonanimal origin manufactured using the nonanimal stabilized hyaluronic acid technology. This was a substudy to evaluate localization, displacement, and degradation of the gel when used for volume restoration and shaping of the buttocks.

Methods: Subjects aged 20 years or older seeking buttock augmentation received a maximum volume of 400 ml per subject.

Background: A retained epidermal inclusion cyst (REIC) at the umbilicus after abdominoplasty is a rare phenomenon that has had limited description in the literature. This case report describes a woman who came for a secondary abdominoplasty and presented intraoperatively with an unexpected large epidermal inclusion cyst.

Case Report: The woman was disappointed with the result of a previous abdominal surgery.
