Despite the structural and electrochemical advantages of LiFePO (LFP) as a cathode material, the solid-state reaction commonly used as a method to produce it at the industrial level has known disadvantages associated with high energy and fossil fuel consumption. On the other hand, solution-based synthesis methods present a more efficient way to produce LFP and have advantages such as controlled crystal growth, homogeneous morphology, and better control of pollutant emissions because the reaction occurs within a closed system. From an environmental point of view, different impacts associated with each synthesis method have not been studied extensively.

Antihypertensive drug adherence (ADA) is a mainstay in blood pressure control. Education through mobile phone short message system (SMS) text messaging could improve ADA. The authors conducted a randomized study involving 314 patients with hypertension with <6 months of antihypertensive treatment from the Preventive Health Program of 12 different primary care centers in Santiago, Chile.

Aim: To assess adherence to antihypertensive drugs and its determinants.
Material And Methods: The Morinsky-Green questionnaire to determine treatment adherence was applied to 310 hypertensive patients from primary care centers, aged 60 ± 10 years (65% females) in treatment for 4 ± 1 months.
Background: The diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease is supported by clinical findings and complementary tests. The presence of specific serological markers could be helpful in the characterization of this condition.
Aim: To assess the prevalence of ANCA and ASCA in a group of patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) and its association with clinical features.
Hematological malignancies can affect the liver, without producing severe hepatic involvement. We report the case of a 57-year-old man with hepatitis C virus infection and mild chronic hepatitis without antiviral treatment, who developed an aggressive T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma confirmed by histological studies including liver, lymph nodes and bone marrow. The patient developed massive hepatic infiltration and acute liver failure.

We report a 18 years old male with an inferior vena cava thrombosis that was associated to a protein C deficiency. He was successfully treated with an infusion of intravenous streptokinase during 30 hours and intravenous heparin during 10 days, followed by oral anticoagulation therapy.

Optimum conditions have been found for gallium(III) determination and results compared to those obtained in 0.5M NaSCN + 4.

The reduction of 2,2'-bipyridine (DIPY) and its interaction with free protons in the solvents mentioned is also surveyed. The electrochemistry of tris-(2,2'-bipyridine) gallium(III) perchlorate was studied in DMSO and MeCN.

The effect of experimental parameters such as drop size, deposition time and gallium concentration on the observed stripping current is investigated. The interference of zinc present in a 0.

The electrode response in the presence of possible interferences (Sb, As, Se, Cu, Ni, Fe, Pb and Co) was studied by voltammetry. Titration curves for six different samples were obtained and their differences from those for pure silver were interpreted.
