Methods: An automated workflow for converting EEG data from a proprietary vendor EEG format to standardized and interoperable DICOM format was developed and tested.
Results: Retrieval of proprietary EEG data, associated videos, annotations and metadata from the vendor EEG archive and their subsequent conversion to DICOM EEG was possible without changes to the departmental workflow.

Background: Exchange of EEG data among institutions is complicated due to vendor-specific proprietary EEG file formats. The DICOM standard, which has long been used for storage and exchange of imaging studies, was expanded to store neurophysiology data in 2020.
Objectives: To implement DICOM as an interoperable and vendor-independent storage format for EEG recordings in the Clinic Hietzing.
Background: Various studies have shown the benefit of three-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) reconstruction and especially 3D printing in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures (TPFs). This study aimed to investigate whether mixed-reality visualization (MRV) using mixed-reality glasses can provide a benefit for CT and/or 3D printing in planning treatment strategies for complex TPFs.
Methods: Three complex TPFs were selected for the study and processed for 3D imaging.
Fibrin sealants are used as antimicrobial-releasing carriers for preventing surgical site infections; however, it is important to determine the release kinetics and antimicrobial effects of drugs added to fibrin sealants and the effects of drugs on clot/clotting properties. The antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity of cefazolin, colistin, gentamicin, oxacillin, tobramycin, and silver nitrate released from fibrin sealant were characterized using in vitro and ex vivo assays against bacteria commonly found on the skin. The effects of antimicrobial agents on the physical structure of the fibrin sealant were assessed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and on the clotting rate and strength of fibrin clots using run-off tests and rheology.

Methods: The 3D printed prostate organ surrogate of the ADAM PETer phantom was filled with polymer dosimetry gel. Nine TLD600 (LiF:Mg,Ti) were installed in 3 × 3 rows on a specifically designed 3D-printed TLD holder.
Purpose: To evaluate the potential of cone-beam-CT (CB-CT) guided adaptive radiotherapy (ART) for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) for sparing of surrounding organs-at-risk (OAR).
Materials And Methods: In 10 patients with locally advanced NSCLC, daily CB-CT imaging was acquired during radio- (n = 4) or radiochemotherapy (n = 6) for simulation of ART. Patients were treated with conventionally fractionated intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) with total doses of 60-66 Gy (pPlan) (311 fraction CB-CTs).
Background: Patients with ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA) are at high risk of recurrent stroke and other cardiovascular diseases and commonly suffer from reduced quality of life. We aimed to determine whether the disease management programme STROKE-CARD can prevent cardiovascular diseases and improve quality of life in these patients.
Methods: In this pragmatic open-label two-centre randomised controlled trial with blinded outcome assessment, we randomly assigned patients with acute ischaemic stroke or TIA (ABCD score ≥3) in a 2:1 ratio to receive STROKE-CARD care or standard care.
Proton radiotherapy (PRT) is potentially associated with a lower risk for secondary malignancies due to a decreased integral dose to the surrounding organs at risk (OARs). Prospective trials confirming this are lacking due to the need for long-term follow-up and the ethical complexities of randomizing patients between modalities.
