Here, 2,4-dinitro-trifluoromethoxybenzene (DNTFB) is used as a trifluoromethoxylating reagent to perform nucleophilic substitution under mild metal-free conditions with different leaving groups, including direct dehydroxytrifluoromethoxylation.

Description and evaluation of cocaine body-packers management in French Guiana (2016-2019).

Introduction: French Guiana is a hub for drugs trafficking between South America and Europe. In Corpore transport, or Body-packing, is one of the options favored. In 2018, 577 people were arrested for smuggling cocaine from French Guiana to mainland France.

In this paper, a study of carbamoyl fluoride is presented. Stability studies, in particular under physiological conditions, and lipophilicity measurement were performed.

Since 2010, Cayenne Hospital's emergency care unit has applied a medical management protocol system for body-packers.

Study of a Stable "Trifluoromethoxide Anion Solution" Arising from 2,4-Dinitro-Trifluoromethoxybenzene.

Despite recent advances, trifluoromethoxylation remains a challenging reaction. Here we describe an efficient trifluoromethoxylative substitution, using an inexpensive and easy-to-handle reagent. By mixing DMAP with a slight excess of 1,4-dinitro-trifluoromethoxybenzene (DNTFB), a stable solution of trifluoromethoxide anion is obtained and can be used to perform a S 2 reaction without any silver additives.

Poverty and Arbovirus Outbreaks: When Chikungunya Virus Hits More Precarious Populations Than Dengue Virus in French Guiana.

Background: Since 2013, 3 successive arbovirus outbreaks, dengue (DENV), chikungunya (CHIKV), and Zika virus, have occurred in French Guiana (FG). The primary objective of this study was to describe the socioeconomic indicators of the first patients infected with CHIKV during the outbreak of 2014. The secondary objective was to compare those patients with patient infected by DENV and with the local population.
