The French Version of the DABS: Adaptation Process and Preliminary Field Test.

The aim of this study was to develop a transcultural adaptation of the Diagnostic Adaptive Behavior Scale (DABS) in French and to perform a field evaluation of the adapted version of the tool (DABS-F). Eight experts in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and two professional translators formed two committees to translate the instrument. Thirty-four independent experts in IDD rated the clarity and relevance of the DABS-F.

Social adaptive skills and psychopathology in adults with intellectual disabilities of non-specific origin and those with Down syndrome.

The present study aimed to assess the psychometric proprieties of a new social adaptive skills questionnaire and examine the impact of maladaptive behaviour on social functioning in adults with ID of non-specific aetiology and those with Down syndrome. The results of an exploratory factor analysis led to the exclusion of 20 items out of 48 and yielded a four-factor structure. The Confirmatory Factor Analysis conducted on 28 remaining items confirmed a four-factor structure explaining 43% of the total variance.

Constructive thinking skills and impulsivity dimensions in conduct and substance use disorders: differences and relationships in an adolescents' sample.

Impact of conduct disorder (CD) and substance use disorder (SUD) on constructive thinking skills and impulsivity was explored. 71 offending adolescents were assessed for CD and SUD. Furthermore, the constructive thinking inventory, the immediate and delayed memory tasks and the UPPS impulsive behaviour scale were administered.

Psychometric properties and normative data of the French developmental behavior checklist - adult version.

The main aim of this study was to generate psychometric data for the French translation of the Developmental Behavior Checklist - Adult version (DBC-A). In addition, the score distributions were examined by using components of mean-based scores. The DBC-A was administered to 580 adults with intellectual disability recruited in the French-speaking regions of Switzerland and Belgium.

The French version of the Reiss Screen for Maladaptive Behavior: factor structure, point prevalence and associated factors.

The main aims of the present study were to examine the factor structure and the internal consistency of the factors in the French version of the Reiss Screen of Maladaptive Behavior in a French-speaking European sample. The prevalence of psychopathology and the influence of associated factors were also examined. The Reiss Screen was administered to 467 adults (age range: 18-73) with intellectual disability living in the French-speaking regions of Switzerland and Belgium.
