Neck pain is considered one of the most prevalent global public health problems. This study aimed to compare the immediate and subsequent effects of traditional acupuncture (TA) and laser acupuncture (LA) therapies in individuals with chronic non-specific neck pain. Eighty-four individuals were randomly allocated into 3 groups: TA (needle acupuncture treatment), LA (laser acupuncture treatment: 808 nm; 100 mW; 10 J per point), and S-LA (sham laser acupuncture).

Objective: To investigate the immediate and 1-month post-treatment effects of 10 treatment sessions of PBM and TENS delivered over 2 weeks on pain intensity in individuals with neck pain.
Methods: Individuals with neck pain were randomized into four groups: PBM+TENS, PBM, TENS, and Sham.

Objective: To compare the immediate effects of shockwave therapy using two different tips in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain.
Design: Randomised placebo-controlled study with three intervention groups.
Setting: The patients recruited for this study were sent for physiotherapy treatment at primary care between May and July 2022.
Shockwave therapy (SWT) has been successful in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. The limitations of the use of SWT in clinical practice regard a lack of familiarity with the device and the lack of uniformity in information reported in scientific publications. Standardization in the reporting of these parameters could facilitate the reproduction and interpretation of data in future studies.

Introduction: Chronic neck pain is a common musculoskeletal disorder that is associated with functional disability and decreased of quality of life. Electrophysical agents are commonly used to relieve pain, however the effects of combined use of these agents are little studied. The objective is to investigate the efficacy of photobiomodulation and electrical stimulation to relieve pain, both in isolation and combined.

Few studies have investigated the degree of association between muscle function and muscle fiber morphology in patients with myopathy. A biopsy was obtained from the left biceps brachii muscle of 12 subjects with myopathic disorders.
