Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess the inter-reader agreement of the Prostate Imaging Quality (PI-QUAL) for multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) in 66 men without exclusion criteria.
  • Results indicated a moderate level of agreement for the PI-QUAL scoring when assessed on a 1-5 scale (k = 0.55) and slightly higher for lesser categories, with T2-weighted imaging showing the best diagnostic agreement.
  • Overall, higher PI-QUAL scores correlated with excellent agreement in the categorization using the Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADSv2.1), suggesting reliability in higher-quality assessments.

This paper shows that an eco-friendly electrospinning process allows us to produce water resistant sound absorbers with reduced thickness and excellent sound-absorption properties in the low and medium frequency range (250-1600 Hz) for which which human sensitivity is high and traditional materials struggle to match, that also pass the fire tests which are mandatory in many engineering areas. The structure and composition were studied through Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) Spectroscopy and ThermoGravimetric Analysis (TGA). The density, porosity and flow resistivity were measured.

Despite numerous clinical trials, glioblastoma (GBM) remains a tumor that is difficult to treat. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of a new pharmacological approach, combining doxorubicin (Dox) and rapamycin (Rapa), in in vitro and in vivo GBM models. Cytotoxic and anti-proliferative effects of Rapa Dox treatments were analyzed in GBM cell lines.

First step of the development of an effective safety management system is to create reliable crash databases since the quality of decision making in road safety depends on the quality of the data on which decisions are based. Improving crash data is a worldwide priority, as highlighted in the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety adopted by the United Nations, which recognizes that the overall goal of the plan will be attained improving the quality of data collection at the national, regional and global levels. Crash databases provide the basic information for effective highway safety efforts at any level of government, but lack of uniformity among countries and among the different jurisdictions in the same country is observed.

Among control structures in flood management, floodplain storage represents one of the most effective measures, since it holds part of flood volume in a delimited area thus reducing the peak discharge. Sizing of floodplain storage, both on-stream and off-stream, is complex and several methodologies for preliminary design are available in literature, almost all assuming level pool reservoir routing, i.e.
