Background: Breast cancer is the second most common cancer worldwide. N, N, N', N'-Tetrakis (2-pyridylmethyl)-ethylenediamine (TPEN) is a lipid-soluble zinc metal chelator that induces apoptosis in cancer cells through oxidative stress (OS).
