Profiles Using Indicators of Marital Communication, Communication Styles, and Marital Satisfaction in Mexican Couples.

Marital problems have multiple causes. One factor leading to marital dissatisfaction is communication, both the inability to communicate in certain areas and the way in which communication is made. One hundred four Mexican couples who attend a reproductive health care institution in Mexico City took part in this study.

[Diagnosis and treatment alternatives to sexual disorders in women with urinary incontinence].

Background: One difficulty that a woman with urinary incontinence faces up is quality and control of her sexual life, the more it is complicated the more it affects her in different ways. These complications require, as well as medical treatment, evaluation and special psychological intervention to integrally recovery.

Objective: To know frequency and origin of sexual disturbances in women with urinary incontinence.

[Brief version (15 items) of the General Health Questionnaire for opportune detection of psychological uneasiness in women].

Objective: To propose a short version of the Goldberg's General Health Questionnaire that can be applied as a screening test in non-specialized in mental health public institutions.

Patients And Methods: Women older than 18 years from Instituto Nacional de Perinatología consult. General Health Questionnaire application (30 items), during nine consecutive months.

[Self-concept during high-risk pregnancy and recurrent gestational loss].

Background: Within medical environment, emotional aspect of therapy strategy is frequently ignored or confused with different psychological aspects. There are scarce reports of high-risk pregnancies or recurrent gestational loss, most of them focused on an isolated event or factor related with self-concept.

Objective: To get self-concept profiles in two important reproductive different moments (high-risk pregnancy and recurrent gestational loss) and better focus therapy strategies.

[An explanation of depression and anxiety symptoms in sterile women].

Objective: To discriminate variables that could account for depression and anxiety in women with infertility. The independent variables were gender role, assertive behavior and self-esteem; the dependent variables were depression and anxiety.

Patients And Methods: The sample consisted of 240 women selected through a special program intended to choose patients based on infertility medical criteria.
