Seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in free-range pigs in northern Peru.

Toxoplasma gondii is an important foodborne pathogen worldwide, with undercooked meat as the main source of human transmission. In this study, we determined the seroprevalence of T. gondii in free-range pigs from two adjacent villages in the Tumbes region of northern Peru, El Tutumo and Nuevo Progreso.

Our work confirmed and extended results of Pierce that eye tracking could discriminate between typically developing (TD) children and those with ASD. Patient capacity and constraints in the experience of chronic disease: a qualitative systematic review and thematic synthesis.

Background: Life and healthcare demand work from patients, more so from patients living with multimorbidity. Patients must respond by mobilizing available abilities and resources, their so-called capacity. We sought to summarize accounts of challenges that reduce patient capacity to access or use healthcare or to enact self-care while carrying out their lives.
