We report on the rates of decomposition of a group of N-methylcarbamate (NMC) pesticides (carbaryl, carbofuran and propoxur) under pre-determined tropical field conditions. Rates of decomposition for three NMCs were determined at pH 7.08 and T = 20 °C and pH 7.

Measurements were taken at the end of the long rainy season in early June 2013. Concentrations of copper (0.

The relative stability of the formamidine and carbamate groups in this compound can be used to predict the identity of its degradation products in water. The reported NMR and UV-vis spectroscopic studies revealed that the formamidine group is more labile than the carbamate group under strongly basic conditions, as well as under predetermined field conditions.

Apoptosis is a process that governs the elimination of unwanted, damaged, or infected cells in most organisms. Defects in its execution are associated with several diseases, including cancer. Herein, we discuss novel molecules with potential anti-tumor activity that target components of the apoptotic machinery, specifically Bcl-2 proteins, IAPs and caspases.
