Does epidural analgesia influence labor progress in women aged 35 or more?

Background: During the last decades, the age of pregnant women significantly increased. The incidence of maternal and labor complications is higher among older women, but conclusive data have not been delivered whether labor epidural analgesia (EA) may affect the duration of labor and delivery outcomes in this population of patients. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of EA among women aged over 35 years.
